Kim Tae Ri has been honored with the Prime Minister Commendation award for the 2025 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards. This is her second government award since 2018 for Mr Sunshine. This is an another high achievement for her for pushing Korean arts to the main stream with Jeong Nyeon. Congrats Taeri!! You deserve it. 🥳🎉🎊🔥
So far, there is no romance (yet) since the two leads just started working together. The romance is more of a sub-genre so I’m not sure how big or small it will be in the show.

depends what you’re looking for? it focuses more on character building. the first two ep sets up the story nicely. visually, it’s a good looking drama. well directed. if you want romance then it’s probably not for you but the romance might be an aspect of the story. the relationship between all the characters is good so far. it’s an under dog type of storyline.
I definitely recommend it. But it’s all about preference. do check it out if you’re curious.
watched 2 episodes & I’m really enjoying it. I can tell tvn put a lot of money into this production because the stage setting design is so detailed. the styling, clothes, cars, phones, pager, computers, etc from the 90’s. the atmosphere, tone & cinematography is nice & warm. there’s some very interesting camera shots. the ost is so good! I’m happy that it’s a full 16 episode kdrama. this will allow more room for character development & story progression. The cast is great & charming already. I’m excited to see how both our main leads grow together as they help each other while achieveing their own dreams. Lee Junho & Kim Minha is portraying TP & MS so nicely. They are SOOO CUTE 😭🥰 I love their instant chemistry & interactions.
The lead actress won the award against IU. That mean her acting must be good but the overall rating of the show…
it has flaws but what stays consistently on top is Kim tae ri’s fabulous acting. That’s why she won the Best Actress award. She got 6/7 jury votes thus made her the frontrunner by a long shot to win! Also MDL rating isn’t an indicator of how good an actors/actress acting is unless you watch it. At the end of the day, it’s all about preference. I definitely recommend it.
I love LYX. I haven’t seen the double yet but I’ve heard lots of great things about the ML actor! Since this one is a romance/family historical drama I think it’s going to be a fun watch.
Jeong Nyeon is tvn’s biggest drama in the last 4th quarter of the year. It helped boost tving performance & increased their users to 8.1 million users right behind Netflix. Studio Dragon’s stock also rebounded over 10% from the 3rd quarter loss. Solidifying this drama of having a strong impact!
