I finally got around to finishing the express episodes... I really loved the pacing of the show in general but those last four episodes felt like they could've been wrapped faster/differently. Or they could've at least given us a full episode with the ML..

But overall, the crown prince is officially my favorite male lead in a cdrama <3 also this drama made me fall in love with Fan Shuai Qi who plays Bu Shu Lin <3 she's such a baddie lol handsome as a man and ethereally beautiful as a woman

yeah whenever the second couple is well written and interesting in a drama, they always end up killing one lol

and it's always the official channels like wetv that post those spoilers lmao... I usually don't mind much when they spoil things in their teasers but they just spoiled something from episode 31 while they still haven't released anything past episode 26 like damn that's a little too much isn't it

I do think the crime plot was necessary to the story but yeah I wish they focused less on it (like way less) and I agree about the intro ofc like any sane person should

I actually really like the pacing, as someone who usually gets bored super fast :p I love how it doesn't show a lot of random side character political scenes that I always skip

this is my first time watching one of his dramas and I have to agree, I can't think of another actor who could pull off this character the way he's doing

I think releasing 1 episode a day just when the pacing of the story becomes slow is not a very good idea and a lot of companies are choosing to do it :/ I think it can drive away some people from finishing it

the second episode reminded me of the book Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross

(and the first episode reminded me of These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong)
