I think I only saw that rule on historical drama during Goguryeo time not during Joseon dynasty. That rule is only valid when the King died without heir. Usually, Queen Dowager had more power as regent if the emperor is still a child, but I guess because it’s 21st century, they have modern ministers who might decide that Grand Prince made more sense to be Regent compared to the Queen Dowager.

Respect to Hui Ju for still knowing boundaries and upholding dignity when she’s not kissing Yi An during the kiss cam though Yi An did give her the opportunity. She knows it would cause uproar to the royal family and Yi An would be in trouble if the video of them kissing in public go viral. She did want to speed things up, but she still knows when to handle a brake.

I read the korean subtitles, it’s a play word like apple and apology, so it’s kinda hard for Disney+ to translate it to get the essence of the play word,.

My theory about the premarital pregnancy scene.

We all notice how Queen Dowager’s face changed when Yi An mentioned it. I still think the current King is still the late King’s son, because the Queen Dowager mentioned something about the kid having the resemblance of the late King, his own father. BUT I think the Queen Dowager was pregnant before their marriage, and it could be a set up (probably CP was drugged) by her father to ensure that she marries the Crown Prince to be the next Queen. I also suspect that the late King might had another lover and wanted to live a normal life, which is why Yi An didn’t agree for his brother to get married to Queen’s family because they’re known to always be having Queens in their family line for generations, so by marrying her, Crown Prince would be King for sure and he might not be able to get out from the situation.

She might like the fact that someone is finally on her side because growing up she’s always alone and had no one on her side

I wonder how genuine what Hui Ju said to the Prime Minister Min when she wants to get married to Grand Prince Yi An because she wants to get up next to him every day. She sounds kinda serious that time. Does she really like the feeling that morning when she woke up next to him? ☺️☺️
