Different situation if it were, for example, “are you a clown?”. Then “are you clown?” would be incorrect.

Absolutely. Specially the empowerment aspect. They don't underestimate their loved ones, they elevate them.

On a side note, I saw some familiar fox defenders over there saying they feel a little sorry for the trashy, murderous husband. Yet here in this comment section Xiang Liu is called the toxic one lol make it make sense. Though I can totally see similarities between the fox and the trash husband in terms of Wimpy and Limpy tropes, so I guess it's understandable. At least over there justice will be served.
