Enjoy watching! Are you on IQiyi? Those of us who differentiate between "happy" and "good" as you…
Yes, I’m watching it on IQIYI!
Absolutely, the way I see it, changing one’s destiny and being lucky enough to help better the lives of those you care about is such a great ending! Those kinds of characters are my favorites in cdramas 🤍
Its kinda funny how a lot are still in denial about TLC & AS love line.. 🤣 if its really not that important…
I haven’t been following any of the promos, only strictly watching the drama without even checking the comment section here, but Mango doing that with their promotion is very yikes.
Unfortunately, it’s sort of understandable that they’d try to shove some romance into it and even use it to milk the audience’s interest because Lord knows people these days can’t seem to watch a drama unless there’s some sort of “CP”.
The way this phenomenon has ruined dramas should be studied. If people focused more on good storytelling and acting instead of just wishing to see romance everywhere, a lot of legitimately good dramas wouldn’t be so underrated. Some hidden gems here on MDL have atrocious ratings because how dare the writers not add some CP in them?
As long as this CP culture remains, folks will continue to be disappointed. I haven’t seen the ending yet so my knowledge is limited to what I have seen so far. Being angry about certain aspects of storytelling - including the perceived romance - and how it played out in the end is absolutely valid. But trashing the show merely because the focus of this drama isn’t really the love story that fans wanted it to be, sounds a little unjustified.
Last comment for today. Not sure if it’s some people’s first time watching a Chinese drama or not but some food for thought:
Happy endings (a very subjective term) does not always equal a GOOD ending. Most endings are considered happy when there’s a big wedding and everything ties together nicely like a fairy tale and rainbows and sunshine. But they don’t necessarily mean a good ending for every story.
Certain cdramas ain’t quite the right thing for you if that’s all that you’re looking for. The “is there romance?” and “when do the leads get together?” crowd may need to sit this one out or understand the genre of this drama. Specially these kinds of dramas where so many philosophical themes are mentioned. All those talks about sacrifice and the greater good should have given a good foreshadowing.
Now I’m more pissed because I have to wait a whole week to watch this in its entirety. Talk about barfing blood.
Joa, the brick is sitting on my cart and I don’t know what to do. At this rate my Chinese teacher will need to convert her mom’s house into a warehouse for all my purchases 😭🤣
Is that what people are taking as confirmation??? He's followed by a lot of people in the industry. I've no idea.…
One of the accounts followed by said producer is not even a 大粉 (big fan account) as mentioned in the questionable post. On the contrary, it’s an account that apparently has been blacklisted by XTH and the official fanclub for being a black account. So go figure.

I was you two years ago when my guy ceased to exist and nobody knew what he had done in silence for so many people.
All the best characters have similar journeys, they’re too good for this world 🥲
