Yes, that’s precisely it. They’re trying to make TSJ something he’s not. Sure, he’s indeed described as the lover, but that means only that he’ll get to be with XY at the end, while the others won’t. Not even as TSJ, but YSQ, as you pointed out. It’s a real pity, but unfortunately he was the only one alive at the end to be her companion :(
Maybe going against the majority, but that FL got on my nerves so fast and so hard, that I could only last up…
I dropped this one too. She was very stalkerish, not even chasing but plain creepy stalking, but since she's a woman, the majority overlooked that fact. If this behavior was coming from a man, people would be up in arms.

Exactly. Other people gave him his “not tragic” ending (because Tong Hua is not big on happy endings). That’s why this is so unfair.
On the other hand, it makes me wonder how long it will all last lol. Good thing that Xiang Liu also gave Xiao Yao the means to protect herself 😅 she’ll definitely need it.
im sorry but its hard to watch Tushan Jing. his acting is bad and he doesnt fit his character and i cannot get…
She's hung up with him as you put it because the drama is trying to sell this 1:1 relationship at the expense of the true intentions of the original novel. In the novel it's clear that she also loves Xiang Liu. In the drama they tried to tone it down a bit, but it didn't work as well as planned. It's a shame :(
The main lead is definitely Xiao Yao.
