Lighthearted Comedy drama

Actually i watch this on February and hold it since the source was being taken down. I watched again recently since current duanju are less interesting. It was Xu Yizhen first comeback on short drama after hiatus (she had finger injury).
This drama is lighthearted and entertaining revenge drama that's easy to follow and enjoyable to watch. It solely has strong comedy core since its Xu Yizhen signature and she is improving a bit compared her earliest drama. Her signature move is her ability to switch to a blank expression in a second. While her acting is sometimes slightly exaggerated and some expressions are a little awkward, this doesn't detract from her overall performance. 3 MLs are doing great job in here. Gan Wan Xing as Emperor Chu Yu has a strong presence and is gloomy and domineering. Compare to his other ancient drama, his acting is better in here.

The plot is fast-paced and concise, maintaining the interesting style typical of short dramas. FL's rebirth is filled with foresight and victories. Although FL ML, and the eldest prince all have heavy pasts, the overall story isn't overly so; instead, there are many joyful moments, making it a light and enjoyable drama, perfect for relieving stress after work.

It was worse than first version

I made wrong decision to watch this drama. This drama was worse than first version (Yang Yubin one). The acting between Wang Yu Ke Qing was quite okay since you felt sorry to FL and Chen Zi Hao did great job to bring the black flag ML. For romance chemistry, this version was quite baffling to watch. They dont have any chemistry

ML is indeed worse than first version. He ruined her father's and FL's life because he was obsessed with possessing her. He never treated her nicely or like a human being. If he hadn't decided he loved her and wanted to marry her he had already admitted she was just a casual fling to him. So after he grew tired of her- what? He destroyed their lives. They literally did nothing to deserve it. They were the innocent victims of a rich, powerful man. FL was more lean on to damsel in distress and she just willingly submit to ML.

Did i enjoy this version? no. I will treat this as my wasteland of precious time and i wont recommend this version.

ML was most manipulative men in duanjus

I watched this last year because my friend recommended Yang Yubin's best works. I should said the kisses were hot but for the plot i quite hate ML to the bone and there is no redemption for him. He is included in my most manipulative ML on duanju. He appears to become FL's father business partner and FL mistook him as his father (girl, the obvious height different were clear) and ML started to obsessed over FL. ML took advantage of her vulnerability, meticulously planning every step. FL's father company went bankrupt (though not directly caused, he was the straw that broke the camel's back), FLfather got sick, and she fell into his trap. And he can forgive her so easily? I don't understand. FL were trying hard not to seeking ML helps and do anything to freed her and yeah ML acts as her only salvatation. The logic of this drama feels a bit strange. FL is a campus beauty, which I can't accept. I forced myself to finish it at 1,5 speed and wont rewatch again.

Only stayed for Younger Brother-Older Brother story,

I watched this first since visual wise was more okay than other version and i liked Xue Ziqi and Wang Nian Jiang Cheng but too bad they are not couple in this version.Whoever cast Wang Nian Jiang Cheng and Xiang Shuai has eagle eye since the looked like siblings. But i need to say the plot was unbearable to watch. The father kidnaps and drugged his sister, and the father's character was one of baddest character in all version i watch. Luckily this drama only has 59 episodes, the fewest of all the versions. There are very few sweet kisses, the pacing is fast, and the ending isn't as good as the others, too abrupt. Its only advantage is the high visual appeal of the four main characters.

Wang Nian Jiang Cheng is good-looking, but he doesn't feel like older brother at all, lacking maturity and his lack of chemistry with He Tian Tian was so obvious too watch. Fortunately, his younger brother, Xiang Shuai, is more youthful and his chemistry with Xue Ziqi were more satisfying to watch it feels watching Omega Man with Alpha Woman. He Tian Tian character was so annoying, i couldn't stand her childishness and i just stay for Older Sister and Younger Brother story.

Recommended only if you are hardcore fans of the actor.

This is random music video

I watched this because of A Shang but it was another disappoint cases of how this drama lacks anything but the styling.

Basically, FL is constantly running away, SFL is constantly chasing, and ML is constantly saving people. Interspersed throughout are scenes of the SFL and the FL vying for her attention. FL and ML meet and inexplicably kiss within hours, and then fall in love. That's basically the content of the first 21 episodes. Then, according to some girls in the group, ML pushed the FL's father, and he died. This drama has no charm for keeping the audience know what is the mystery behind FL's father death.

I treat this drama as MV instead and adding random OST like Troye Sivan-Angel Baby even i don't think it would be match the story; Gan Wang Xing and A Shang appearance looks good, but the plot was practically nonexistent. Both of the leads still show their weakness of the acting, i forced myself to completed this drama but yeah it was boring. The kisses was plenty and it just basically good shoot from the director.

Only hardcore fans could enjoy this.

Well, this drama makes my blood boils

I watched this last year and i know this is Bai Yan-Zhang Bei Xi version. Xie Yu Wang and Liu Lange delivers their role perfectly. The plot was not perfect from the start but the emotional depth in main character this drama is far more better than the first version. ML and FL aren't perfect and have flaws. I wont recommend this drama unless you're fans of the actors.

Liu Lange is quite pretty good actress, but the dramas she chooses aren't very good. In this drama, all I can say is that the FL has good heart is a disease, but she's incurable, so she gets hurt in various ways. The drama starts with the ML's affair with his ex-girlfriend, and FL is beaten by her father. What I found different from the usual formula was that FL's arguments were all on point; every word she uttered was effective, not just mindless taunting. ML in this version really have no boundaries and i think FL was more wise in this version.

FL was injured, but ML didn't intervene. This was mainly because the two families had a business cooperative relationship, making it difficult to directly punish the sister-in-law. Furthermore, punishing her might implicate FL. Therefore, ML used a rather extreme method: he personally intervened, using photos as leverage against the sister-in-law. Personally, I think this was perfectly acceptable. As a result, the sister-in-law didn't cause any further trouble for the FL.

When FL gets pregnant right after their marriage, she tells ML they should live a good life together, but he tells her to abort the child. Later, ML explains that it's because they have no feelings for each other and he doesn't want to have the child, but this explanation feels weak.

I think there should have been more build-up about ML to his feelings for the FL. Some misunderstandings were indeed influenced by external factors, not by the ML's own inner turmoil, so they were somewhat understandable. The ending is the divorce followed by a proposal felt a bit rushed. At least there would have been a courtship process; that would have made the viewing experience much better. My ideal ending in this drama were the leads are not back together, it would be on my recommended drama.

Plow was neat but the chemistry was zero

I watched Ye Haoran version first and i was though Cao Tian Kai would be on Younger rother role (this is unbelievable on every terms) but luckily they are using the CEO role. It somewhat generic yet engaging since its toxic love theme.

The plot is about ML with an obsessive possessiveness towards the FL in their previous lives, wanting only to imprison her. Both are reborn. ML pretends to be FLs crush to get close to her. The difference is that both ML and FL are reborn with their memories intact.

In the previous life, FL wanted to end her engagement with a scumbag and seduced ML she liked, but in ML's eyes, she only used him, so he chose an extreme way to love her. In this life, ML restrains his possessiveness, acts normally, and gets close to the female lead. Although FL is always afraid of the ML, she also has feelings for him.

The dialogue is quite suggestive, and the emotional entanglements are a bit lacking between Cao Tian Kai and He Yi Ting make watching experience not really good. But plot wise, this one was more neat than Ye Haoran version.

Only for hardcore fans.

Beside Motorcycle scene, this drama was awful.

I watched this because i like Wang Kaimu and Ma Lejie and almost their drama have one problem, they tend to have great in first half but sometime plot was deteriorate on the latter part with abrupt ending.

The story isn't particularly original; the main attraction is Wang Kaimu and Ma Lejie. This third collaboration is highly anticipated, but unfortunately, they didn't choose a good script. The makeup and styling of the two leads in the drama are great; Wang Kaimu's motorcycle outfit and leather jacket look are especially handsome. Every scene where theML takes the FL on a motorcycle ride is incredibly beautiful and cool. The acting and chemistry between Ma Le Jie and Wang Kaimu was okay to watch but amnesia plot was too boring and the editing feels disjointed so i ended up fast forwarding the drama.

Only for hardcore fans

Sweet romance for both leads.

I watched this on November 2025 and tried to rewatch again. A rare good script from Zheng Chen Yu since most of her drama were unbearable to watch, Wang Zi Lin on his non toxic character was quite rare to see too.

The overall story structure is simple, though it follows a few familiar tropes: a long-planned unrequited love, a younger nephew's lack of appreciation, and finally, after repeated displays of affection, FL reciprocates ML and age gap romance. After the FL confesses to the SML 99 times and is rejected, she decides to give up and tried to cling to ML.

There are two minor misunderstandings, but they quickly resolve them. ML is terrified of FL and manages to soothe himself when angry. SML is a typical example of someone who regrets his actions and then tries to cling to her.

There are no unnecessary clichés, and ML is proactive and assertive, making for a very enjoyable watch overall. The kissing scenes are mostly concentrated in the latter half. Although it's a story of a younger man/older woman romance with a teacher-student dynamic, it avoids the forced attempts to create a sense of intimacy and excitement using clichéd plot points

Overall warm and sweet atmosphere, it's a worth to watch.

Anticlimatic ending destroy this drama

I watched this on Christmas eve but i don't have any mood to make review about this drama until now.

This version has more logical and detailed plot, with a very clear main storyline. It focuses on the relationship between the ML and FL, while retaining the familial bond between the FL and her son, as well as the healing of her mental illness. Other subplots have been removed.

The overall pacing is smooth and the content is tight, but the ending feels rushed and anticlimactic, failing to clearly explain the awakening of the fictional characters. The emotional storylines include both romantic and familial love, with rich layers of development and clear emotional progression. ML acts as a bridge between his son and FL, no longer just watching passively.

The new treatment plan involves hypnotizing FL instead of the doctor. This approach is clear because a mother is willing to give everything for her child

The ending doesn't clearly explain which piece of evidence led to the female doctor's arrest. Wang Nan and Yuan Yu Han are both talented actors with good chemistry; their every expression and gesture showcases their acting prowess. Ironically, this ending doesn't do justice to their skills.

Still decent watch.

The Princess plot was quite interesting.

I watch this drama last December and it was actually still watchable aspects as flaws, so let's list them directly.

The kissing scenes between the ML and FL are solid, both passionate and intense.ML is incredibly charming and manipulative-green tea verified, leaving her ex-husband helpless. Li Zijie was a good kisser.

The political intrigue in the later stages was rushed; the verbal sparring should have been reduced, focusing more on the strategic maneuvering. Too many plot elements, and they were all old tropes, making it quite confusing when you watch this.

I quite like Princess back story (it was actually this drama strong point), you might think she's an insignificant plot device, but she actually has a unique mindset. Not only does she plot a rebellion, but she also wants to be with the FL. In reality, the Princess's rebellion is only because she secured peace through a marriage alliance, but upon returning home, she's condemned for her chastity. FL has a reputation for chastity, and the Princess believes she's only pure when she's with her.

The princess's ending was also good. Although she rebelled, she was ultimately allowed to become the empress. People understood her grievances and hardships, and didn't look down on her. Just like the FL said, a woman's chastity is never beneath her skirts. ML hides multiple identities, only revealed at the end.

Recommended to watch.

This drama was too sweet without you realized you could get cavities.

I watched this and this drama was same as Liang Siwei and Yao Yuchen drama but for the sweetness and campus drama this drama wins. This drama is purely sweet with no angst.

The casting also perfectly captures the feeling of college students, especially Zhi Chunhe—she's look so youthful, a truly innocent-looking girl. FL has a lot of inner monologues. No unnecessary plot, no clichéd storylines, no villains, and while the supporting characters have limited screen time, it's all perfectly placed. Best friends gossip about each other is almost identical to real college life. Zhang Chi and Zhi Chun He are mysterious CP that have unrivaled charm that you cannot help but giddy when you are looking at them.

After watching the entire series, from the script to the actors to the production, there isn't a single flaw to be found beside obvious dubbing since i quite like Zhang Chi real voice. Let me rave about the merits The ending was fine and perfect..

This one reduced the focus on the conflicting family dynamics, which aligns with my expectations. I felt that focusing solely on the main storyline wouldn't affect the overall viewing experience.

From my own experience, this drama was more better when you rewatch this

The plot was disjointed

This version is fine if watched first, but I watched the other version first. And Both actor are quite gorgeous but the plot was quite mess. The chemistry between Yue Yuting and Zhang Chi was quite average and the kisses was intense, but it lacks any aggression feeling.

This version is fast-paced, with some plot points cut. The story is disjointed and the plot jumps around. Especially the early portrayal of the FL's illness lacks detail. ML's crucial role in the FL's illness is poorly foreshadowed,

From a perspective, this version focuses on the ML as the narrator, making it seem like he's the one more seriously ill than the FL, especially in the later stages where his aggressive personality is fully displayed.

I feel this drama is for hardcore fans of the actors.

Unexpectedly sweet CP

I watched this drama because of Zhang Lei and quite skeptical about Lin Qiting since they look don't match at glance but it was pleasant surprise, they are quite have chemistry in this drama.

The plot of the daughter traveling back in time to find her parents is quite novel and funny. Actually ML and FL are playing a role-playing game but the daughter misinterpret and travels back to 10 years ago. At that time, FL is a domineering school beauty and ML is a poor, academically gifted but they had no relation at all. But after the daughter appears, they start pretending to be a loving couple SML and SFL were not traditional villain but they bring the comedy for the drama.

The cons is the daughter becomes merely a decorative element on later episode losing the core of the drama.

Still decent watch.

Yu Peishan needs to get more non scumbag role.

I watched this since my friends said this is Yu Peishan non-scumbag role and you need to watch this. Xu Bodi/ Wang Xi acting was quite fine and she is not artificial cute.

I thought it was usual plot of a scumbag regretting his actions, but i was wrong; FL amnesia is just her awakening for the truth.

FL loses her memory (not fake amnesia), she's is very kind ML constantly trying to make amends. Because her family ignored her for two years due to amnesia, only ML stayed by her side and cared for her every day. FL cuts her toxic family and therefore, she's quite dependent on him. ML is deeply in love with her; even before her amnesia, even she treated him badly, he never left. After her amnesia, he's very good to her, and he becomes anxious and insecure, afraid that she'll regain her memory and leave him. The kisses was good. Yu Peishan quite good kisser and the relationship growth between FL and ML pace was right. The romance between FL and ML are very sweet, and even in the last few episodes when the FL regains her memory, there's no heartbreak; she openly tells the male lead she loves him. No angst included.

Every time I see a Chinese short drama like this, I wonder why SML always confident the FL won't leave him? This one is the same; he realizes he loves the FL halfway through, but it's too late.

There is flaw about ML was trying Mango Yogurt from FL while he was allergic to it. But overall it didn't affect the quality of this drama

Recommended to Watch.
