I can't think of any reason for Jae-In apart from her being a villain. What if she was the one who did this? Cause we have 6 episodes left and I can't imagine what else they could show us to hate the mom and grandpa more.
My theory for now: these two are either half brother or uncle nephew. If brothers, then father is Mr. DO. He had an affair with Jeong-o's mother, she was in music industry as she taught Jeong-o. Then something happened and he was with Pio's mother. Then both women didn't tell him. Pio's mom saw Jeong-o and her mother in that competition, she had something to do with Jeong-o's mother death. Another is Jeong-o's mother had affair with the grandpa. I would not be surprised.
I am loving how they are showing the real background of BL series: fan culture, saseang getting away with their tactics, actors forced to fan service, actors having different personality behind camera, changing names, casting based on looks rather than acting etc.
I feel like 95% of their problem happens because of the power imbalance between them. Luke changes from her boss to her boyfriend whenever he wants, but she can't just be his girlfriend without thinking of the consequesces. I feel like when you are in this type of dynamic and really want to pursue a romantic relationship, the first choice should be removing each other from boss-employee dynamic. She did it first when she applied for team change. Again when Alex proposed the offer. This way the can be on same ground. But he doesn't want anything to change. The only reason he can be this rude to her is because she works under him. I know people are saying she is a red flag because she wants to keep them a secret, but from what I saw if they change workplace then she will proudly tell everyone about them.
This is one series where I can see 2nd season happening where all of them are in college. But from the preview it looks like they will cover it in the last episode .
Agreed. The show is doing a great job at the portrayal. I know people usually expect NC scenes as penetrative…
Yeah, it is NC scene but not romantic for us watchers. And yeah territorial is the correct term rather than control. Actually I have not read anything regarding enigma, only have ABO desire and PitBabe for reference. Let me know if you have any recs.
I have a feeling 95% of people watching this have no idea about omegaverse, or if they do it's from ABO desire. When I first saw ABO desire, I felt the concepts were mellowed down, which was okay as the pairing was betwen an alpha and enigma. But here, the pairing is alpha-omega. So, concepts like bonding, pheromone are important. I also have limited knowledge, and not all writers include all concepts. But for a beginner's guide to omegaverse: in normal humans, there is a secendary gender which manifests during your puberty regardless of male or female. Alpha, beta and omega. There can be female alpha and male omega. Male omega can get pregnant. Beta is normal human, they don't produce or smell pheromone. Alpha are considered superior to normal human. They have pheromone, and have the ability to control both alpha and omega based on their power. I am not sure if they have any control over betas, as they can't smell pheromone. Others please fill in. As for omega, they are considered the lowest and weakest in society. They also produce pheromone, but their is like flower. It's to attract alpha. If they are in rut, they can't control it. Also, if alpha are in rut they can't control themselves if any omega is nearby. So, it's mandatory to take suppressents and keep track of rut cycle for both alpha and omega. There is other things called dominent and recessive in both alpha and omega. There is less risk of pregnancy for recessive omega. In this one, pure omega was introduced. Pure omega can give birth to enigma, who can turn an alpha to an omega (as we saw in ABO desire).
Here, the NC scene was kinda wild, because it wasn't actually a NC scene. It showed that they both have no control over their body when pheromones were involved. They were like wild animal, who are forced to mate with their partner. As they are bonded now, they can't be separated and must stay together for now. I think they protrayed that part quite well.
Let me know if I missed some details. I also have limited knowledge, and am always eager to learn more.
The amount of time I choked up watching episode 5 shocked me. The way each and every character are so flawed, this is such a brilliant story writing. This episode answered all of our questions about why they kept dong-man around, and him finally breaking free from this toxic friend circle. Geong-Se and that one with suit would be the only ones to stay friends with him. Geong-Se used him, and has always felt guilty. Others didn’t feel anything badmouthing him. Eun-a's ex is a piece of shit, he will get his punishment.
North-U carried the series. U had the best redemption ark. Without them Tim-Pai wouldn't survive. A rare case where side couple outshined the main one.
Qin's love language is physical touch and word of affirmation. Duang loves to spoil the person he loves. That's why they both suit each other so much. Any other combination wouldn’t work.
How do I explain all the intense emotions this series makes me feel after each episode is over to all the people…
I can say on behalf of them. I dnf'ed it after the 1st episode. But during ep 5 I saw the comments and decided to gave it another chance and here we are 🤭
