you're right the voice doesn't sound like Tilly Birds, i assumed it was because the song is more on the rock side which felt really different from previous gmmtv actors songs that i heard! thank you for the info, i didn't know about Khao singing the ost. can't wait to listen to the full version!
They really tried to stick to the manga which at first felt like a good surprise since I liked it so much. But now that i think about it a bit more, maybe they stick to it TOO well.
In the manga, a large part of the story concerns Ren's past, in the form of flashbacks that intersect with the main story. The choice was made to keep this aspect in the series, but it makes it slow and repetitive. Some scenes that might have been great to read didn't really feel realistic once they were on screen.
What I realize after these 7 episodes is that a good manga doesn't necessarily make a good series. In the end, I think I'd have preferred them to detach themselves a little from the written version to make the series more captivating and more in-depth on certain subjects.

i'd recommend Our Dining Table (Bokura no Shokutaku), it's a really beautiful story and it also deals with past traumas (different from the ones we see in Tokyo in April, but still)
