Wontak is a douchebag. His dad apparently never mistreated him and was a decent and hardworking man. Why he wrote…
I don't think the context of time or family would change the fact that he was still young, and in his mind he thought his dad was guilty so he thought that denouncing him was a good idea.
I agree that it was a bad thing and it was really not playing on his father's side, but through a child's mind I can understand that he thought it was helping.
And tbh we don't have much context of their family story back then, so who knows what happened between them ?

Again I agree that the letter didn't help, but the cops tried to find a culprit quickly at the time and I don't think they really tried to search for more, since Mr. Han never really fought for his innocence either.
He said he felt guilty so in his mind he was at fault for Gyeyoung's disappearance, and so he agreed to be the official culprit.
So basically he agreed to be shamed and targeted as a payback maybe. That's how I see it, because he could've moved away, but idk why he decided to stay.

Wootak is definitely wrong for beating up people so much (although he's targetting men who are not that innocent), but to me that's another story. I feel like it's coming from smth else, or because he felt so angry for so long, but now that things are changing I'm sure he will change too.

I just glanced over some comments, and now I'm wondering if Dahyun's father could be the real culprit ?
I first thought it would be Gyehoon's father, but seeing what happened to him, it's still possible but I wonder if there's a reason why we never heard about DH's father

Euichan, the piano teacher, actor leekyuhoe is so good... I mean... He got me really annoyed in beyond evil and…
I don't think I've seen the actor anywhere else, but I'm really curious now ! I rarely feel like this about characters, unless they are really good

Wontak is a douchebag. His dad apparently never mistreated him and was a decent and hardworking man. Why he wrote…
I think it’s a bit harsh to judge a 10 yo boy who didn’t know about the consequences of his acts like any child. At that time he really thought his dad did smth and maybe thought it was a good idea to tell his friend about it. But Gyehoon was also 10 and felt like it was also the right thing to do too.

The cop literally explained that the witness testimony saying that Gyeyoung went into Mr Han's car was the reason why they thought he was guilty, because he knew Mr Han worked secretely in a Karaoke and the blood was probably from someone else. Even though they believed the dad was innocent, just because one cop told everyone he was guilty everyone in the village thought so too, and seeing how those villagers are they surely didn't make it easier.

Wootak lived in guilt about what he did to his father, but I think he also resented his dad for not fighting back. Technically they both ignored each other for valid reasons, in my opinion. This is why I think it's very touching. The dad cares so much about his son that he didn't want to "bother" him, and the son felt too guilty towards his dad to go to him.
Personally I can tell Wootak is angry at the cops, but at himself too.

And for Dahyun I never said she killed Gyeyoung, but that UNLESS she did, I don't see a valid reason for her not to be with Gyehoon, like Jingeun is trying to say.

The piano teacher really breaks my heart seriously I almost cried in this episode, Wootak's story is so sad I'm glad he is starting to have a 'happy' ending (even though it's far from the end lol)

Tbh I don't have much to say about the latest episodes, I'm just really enjoying it but I am truly hoping that no one dies
And they are, as usual, hinting a possible breakup.... personally I don't like when they breakup for an idiot reason, unless she is the one who killed Gyeyoung, I don't think the usual breakup part is necessary... but if they use this trope I don't really mind either, to me they are endgame anyway

Am I the only one who still finds it weird that in the beginning when the girl and her fam thought he was dead,…
Actually I just noticed your comment about FL’s memory but she also said she lost a lot of memories from before an accident she had when she was a child (which is also supposedly related to Gyeyoung’s disappearance)

yeah I kept thinking about this πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ that's why I thought it was so impossible for him to be alive after all of this that I thought they were imagining things lmao

Confessions usually happen around episode 11 in 16 episode dramas. Just some statistics...
This is exactly what I'm trying to say though, they basically know they like each other, she confessed pretty early already + he knows about her feelings since the beginning, but it didn't lead to anything YET although we're halfway through and nothing "major" is really stopping them
I know we have to wait obviously, but in my own opinion I think the romance is being dragged compared to usual storylines, and I was just pointing it out since it's not my personal preference (in this story)
And we might not watch the same dramas but a few ones that I've watched, with 16 episodes, used this rushed romance trope or most of them have the ep8 kiss, but that was not my point there

Actually lately (based on what I have watched ofc) I saw that they tend to make a big romance move from pretty early on ...(in the modern tropes at least)
Here I think there's a lot happening with the mystery so they're not focusing on the romantic scenes, which I understand, but even though they very clearly like each other they keep beating around the bush...
And there isn't a love-hate thing or love triangle either, they just keep worrying about each other lol
I'm not saying it's bad though, I just want something new between them πŸ˜‚

It's probably because a lot of the dramas lately try to change the romance timeline a bit, but in the usual 16 episodes dramas I watched there is always smth happening in the 7-8th episode... either a confession or a kiss
Maybe here GH just finally admits he has feelings I guess
But where do you find statistics btw ?

I should definitely stop making theories because none of them are right apparently πŸ˜‚
Litterally, how did I not think that the chef woman would actually look for the stalker for revenge ?
I thought about many things but this ! + she really had me in tears in that scene with DH
I'm glad she's not a bad character, even though she's not my favorite, she's the friend-like character to DH, and I like how they're all one team vs Stalker

Also I don't mind the mystery being dragged, but I'm getting annoyed that already half the episodes passed and we still don't even have kiss or a clear confession... when they have obviously been liking each other from the beginning
It's not like one is waiting for the other to confess to finally discover his/her feelings πŸ™„

Well... that sibling relationship doesn't seem to be healthy πŸ˜…

Also I keep wondering if Dahyun can feel Gyehoon's feelings when she touches him ? Idk but everytime they touch hands she looks at him like she knows how he feels... or she is really sensitive to any physical contact lmao
