What was mentioned was their own judgement and opinion based on their own standard. They didn't specify what exactly would constitue as bl but from what i gathered they are of the stance that any attempts from the chinese so far was not good enough, only crumbs. Effort be damned.
This, personally, i disagree. Considering their climate i do not put chinese censored bl in a lesser category. I really appreciate what the teams do despite the risk and have no problem calling this bl and recommending this as one to my peers.

yup i couldn't get into addicted novel but can get so hooked on stay with me bcs the elements above plus the sentimental directing was what i kinda expected from sa ye la that we'll probably bever get to see. i love this drama as itself but i've also been taking refuge here to fill that emptiness hehe

It's close to the vibes of the drama but different than the novel/story in general. I was talking about high school boys finding home in each other, the "poor" environment and bike rides, also the little sister. And then boom angst right just when they were facing the future
