in a conversation with XFF he said "if i had the same background as [duke su], i wouldn't have to do this" — it's such a petty excuse, but it also reinforces my understanding that deep down he's willing to do anything to climb up the ranks (his initial drive for wanting to bring down corrupt officials got twisted somewhere along the way, i guess)
