Yikes, he does the same cute smile he did when he was a host, when he was on producer 101. I like Daniel and I would imagine alot of his fans are here but he is not that great of an actor.
I have seen other drama's with young actors and they are amazing and would have given this role some life. Daniel, should have started with a supporting role and then improved on his acting but he has many fans and people like you who think he is amazing. So, he can carry on thinking this sub-par acting is brilliant.
The thing is alot of idols get roles not because they can act or they are the best person for the role but because they are idols and they will bring alot of attention to the drama. Which results in idols who sometimes are awful actors, who butcher the role and drama getting roles, so yeah it's not a stigma when it's true.
I have seen some idols who went into acting and were amazing. and I have seen alot of idols who went into acting, especially taking a lead role when they are clearly not ready for it and they were awful. It's sad to say Daniel should have practiced more.
The female lead was acting with the likes of Yoo Seung Ho now she's acting with an idol with subpar acting skills on his first drama. That's a downgrade if I have ever seen one. I cannot.
I've dropped this drama, I'm over it. I hope Daniel gets some acting lessons, he needs it.

Yeah, im going to drop this. I tried, it's boring. The storyline is boring. It's weird I actually like the female actress but I don't like the character she's playing, she's annoying. Kang Daniel, will go in the category of idol turned actor who gets his first main role because he is an idol and he proves to not be good. He just doesn't give anything to the role.
He is just there to save her all the time. He shud have started by taking a supporting role and this role shud have been given to someone who would have brought this character to life. They are so many young actors out there, much better than him. It's sad to see the female lead downgrading, cos she has acted with some amazing people.

It's sad to say I agree, I like him but after seeing another drama with another young actor who was amazing it was so obvious how meh his acting is. He really shud have gotten a supporting role first.. I feel bad for the female actress. It's such a downgrade.

Riight, they are too many bitter comments on here, but I think thats with every popular show. With more people who watch the more negative responses but even more positive responses if you look elses where. This show was amazing.

Good drama, I have to say Yoon Chan Young really stood out to me, he is a really really good actor. Such talent.
If you are contemplating watching this cos of the comments, just ignore them and watch it's, a good drama.
And I agree with others here Park Yoo Na deserves to be lead in her own kdrama. 2022 let it happen plz.
