A wounded heart in a critical condition

Long time since i wrote a review, but now i am writing to express my condolence to myself, to sue the screenwriter and the director for their policy to follow up with the historical facts that made this tragedy to happen. Meantime, i will thanks genuinely the cast and them for this massive generation of a drama, a masterpiece, a divine live painting mixed between joy and sorrow black it in the end.
Lee se young and lee jun ho those two were the peace and the typhoon of this framework, their chemistry is beyond talking, strongly enough to make their scenes the best in a sageuk as couple then comes PKH and MCW in princess man and IU and LJK in moon lovers.
Deok im character who has her friends and her pride and free self above everyone, the tense that LSY had shown is unbelievable. She truly reminded me of MCW in princess man. Her character was between kind ,straight then badass and stubborn. She refuses to be subsided to someone and restricts her liberty. She can greatly hide her true and sincere feelings to someone to the very end for that purpose of hers.
Yi san/jeongjo character is a controversy, he lived in fear during his childhood and was always tormented by his father cp sado execution then by his gf king yeongjo who was strict on him and threatening him not to become like his late father. So he never truly had happiness in his life until he met with deok im, he started to smile and have fun with her that's when their story began. His affection to deok im grow bigger every time she saves, protect and look after him meanwhile deok im is in her defense state and hide her feelings to keep living her desired free life, so every time she refused to be his woman he go more persistent and savage on her. During his reign, he forced her to be his concubine without deliberating with her anymore hence she subjected to him because she had no choice although she likes him but she doesn't want this consort life because she knew the king has duties and he will not be hers only and the aftermath is known. So his obsessive character over her and his responsibility as a king to pretend to ignore not letting her live the life she wanted ( although she confessed it was her choice to stay by his side in the dazzling palace and i think after being worn out of his chasing after her)has drawn this wailing end.
This drama made me cry a lot experiencing successive demises that melted my heart and bruised my mind. It cannot be easily forgettable.

There is no time travel without a reason

I enjoyed watching this drama as it was funny and thrilling to follow up with but how can they make out a fool of the audience?
First, the death scene of the crown princess drowned, i suppose it was detected hours after its onset so the body wouldn't have been degraded yet to make it difficult to identify it, then why didn't the crown prince verify that it was his wife that is dead while it was his in law thus he must be allowed to do?
Second, in the final episode , prince moon chan is caught red handed trying to kill him with his men and we all known that he is the past life of tae moo who the same crown prince has confronted in his days in seoul then why did the crown prince recognized him or recall his fight with the future one?
Third, when he went to the present and find the reincarnate version of his princess and sister in law, he discovered the evil se na and the kind park ha that were real sisters without knowing, he studied each personality of them and fall for park ha knowing what se na personality is, it took 15 episode to recall park ha as his sister in law reincarnate and this is a waste
Fourth, when he went back to Joseon he directly punished the crown princess who was alive because of bo yong plot and sacrifice, we only knew that she was jealous from her sister accompany to the crown prince and was obliged to follow her family wishes, but her evil deeds weren't proved as they were rumors only then why to take it out on her? His infatuation with park mislead him to such disrespect his crown princess without listening to her at once...
These contradiction and others made me think that this drama needed more framework and a change of story to a pure sageuk or at least past-present connection between the episodes would import more success and light to it

Such a waste in the late Joseon era

In this drama, i didn't really understand the end, the story was confusing, why should a princess live outside the palace, how a man getting killed then came back? who saved him? There is really a poor management of the scenes, plus the relationship is bit weird between the fortune teller and lord heungson-gun. The only character that i understood is Chae in gae, the live that he chose to lead is because of his love obessed somewhere for the princess and his jealousy from his former friend choi chung jung, his death was a pain but respected when he came back to his sense and showed his pure love.

A show that make you complain and stunned

Let me begin, this storyline does not match truly the real one written in history, yes on dal was a fool and a bumpkin, his mother was blind, he didn't have a general father, when he met the princess his life got turned up down and became a general who fought for Goguryeo and was known as his strong will and power. On the other hand, the princess was not a soldier nor an assassin so why to damage her reputation. Yes she has knowns martial arts, she loved on dal to get off from marrying a noble man while she didn't want him when she was young. So afterwards their marriage was established out of love and care. On dal after becoming a general of Goguryeo crossed into many battles to save his country and was a hero then he died while defending the borders against Shilla army by an arrow on 590.
Returning to this drama, The four main leads, go Geon, on dal, Pyeongyang and mo young portrayed respectively by Lee ji hoon, Na in Woo, Kim so hyun and choi yoo hwa did their role with utmost sincerity and braveness but the script and the flow of the drama didn't fit them, I liked the chemistry between The FML and FFL and the SML and the SFL, they were awesome together but the outcome was a bit strange so go Geon that he was the princess trainer from her childhood love her for years but she didn't blink an eye and he didn't have a chance to act because of her love for on dal and her grudge against his father go won Pyo. Nonetheless,, Mo young who was a silla spy, became attracted to master go who was twisted and obessed by the princess, she had nothing to lose and she keeps confronting him while he was in pain and a dire situation. Go Geon could not forget his love for the princess even if he was grateful to mo young care and help aid so what a man. While On dal only cared about the princess and died protecting her which was heartbreaking and same as go Geon death.
So this drama is far to be believed and one thing that phenomena of masquing the spirit and reviving it again to make FML alive is unreasonable and they should not have include it in the script. On dal death should have been kept as it was and replacing it with something else would be more ominous.

I appreciate and I didn't appreciate

This drama portrayed the beautiful rumors about cp sado which there was a controversial about, It was enlightening how they brought up sado in this story, he was reported as a criminal and for lunacy because he wants a better Joseon where equality reign among peoples and was trying his utmost to achieve that believe but ended up accused as a traitor and dead which was heartbreaking because of the nobles and the noron faction greed and love of power and superiority. They showed how weak yeongjo was to be controlled by this court and his throne was precarious and was always cajoling to balance the throne as so he was drenched by blood and always haranguing sado for his stubbornness of his futile dream but also they surfaced the fatherly love who tried to protect his son to the end and the son who refused to point a sword on his father neck even if he considers him as a political enemy.
That was a good as a drama but it had too many went downs and I had expected more, some fictionality as a romance between seo ji dam and the cp sado which was only utterly shown before the time skip when the actress was KYJ who boosted a vivacity and a life to this character in contrast to the adult actress who was bold and her role was very restricted which I disliked. I don't want them to follow historical facts because park bing jae seo ji dam court lady name was his consort but at least they needed to keep the character alive somehow and not kill it off and make it hopeless. That why my rating was a 8.5 this the max I could give and It deserve lower also. Beside all that, they showed crown princess and her father as two caring people for the cp but they care truly for themselves in the court starting from when the father ask the king to execute the cp and the foolish naïve wife who exposed her husband plan for a better Joseon which was not containing traitors (if even they are treated like) and treachery and was misunderstood for his noble believes , thinking of her she was protecting him.
From what I watched from red sleeve, I think jeongjo ressemble to this father portrayed in this drama in too many ways that's why I believe this story is more accurate about cp sado and not the one written in lady hyeogyeong because if he had consorts beside her she will sure sue him and proclaim his lunacy and violent behavior as husband even if it make sense since yeonjgo as shown in this drama also was a strict father and king who always opposed his son thought and never praised him for his doings even after he solved critical issues that's why I waited for sado to go crazy in the late episodes and become a rampaging person like the other Joseon kings but since it didn't happen that was for the good of both hypothesis .

High expectations with a deviated storyline

Well, when i read the title gunman in Joseon, i was filled with curiosity about how was Joseon by using guns and in its last period, i don't know if it is related to some historical facts, however it seemed cool and insightful. The cast was bursting with the presence of lee joon ki, jeon hye bin, yo oh sung and Han joo wan, they all did a very good job especially lee joon ki as wonderful as always, the actress nam sang mi who portrayed the first female lead didn't fit as i saw shyness in her shape and her look wasn't pretty in the drama as jeon hye bin was, i wished she were the first female lead.
Passing to the story, it was interesting as plot, i didn't like the fact of a righteous rebellion for those who carry enlightenment as title, the fact that many died isn't good also, sacrifices were in vain, the death of the second female lead is sad as she totally leaned on her father after she was betrayed by yoon kang and his harsh response to her love since she was the daughter of his enemy and father killer.Hye won gathered a loathsome spirit against yoon kang for his misdeeds with her and when he shoot her unarmed father(which is unethical) to kill him luckily bulletproof saved him. She deserved to be loved by yoon kang more than so in, i hated this point in the drama because when your life from the beginning was a shit in your childhood, you managed to escape to a better life by becoming a merchant or your father in order to gain had to lean on the higher up and do misdeeds unlike you to keep his position and life .
After the coup failed, everyone was scattered, choi woo chin versus yoon kang fighting spirit to the end was amazing although the first one had it broken after the death of his daughter(maybe he killed her by fault). I loved the modern clothes of the Japanese people and how yoon kang wore a suit in a Joseon traditionnel era, he appeared really cool in it ;but to keep the love story unharmed So in stayed alive while the poor hye won was dead which is very disgusting and down.
If the infrastructure of the drama and the storyline were more bravely shaped, it may had increased my rating to it...

Really i wasted my time

When i saw lee joon ki in and moon chae won the couple that solicited everyone in flower of evil, i decided to watch this drama but from the frame of the story, it was groundless, one team is investigating cases, each episode is independent , the case scenario is not adjusted per episode as it may start at the end of an episode and continue with the another, the recap is a mess.
The first two episodes and the last two episodes can presume everything. Among the storyline, there is many defaults and some good outwork.
first let me start with the good things i noticed, the NCI agents are powerful as team, i liked this profiling method to unveil the criminal, the IT used for tracking, hacking, and extracting information is well mastered, they study the psychological background of the criminal to identify him and his motive for murder which was the trauma the most reason that developed the desire to kill someone in addition to the false believes triggered by a psychological disorder subjected by the trauma.
On the other hand, their cleverness is countered by some dumb decisions that they make or fruitless move that they take which may endanger them like in the last episode so where was the backup knowing that the reaper isn't someone to be taken lightly( i liked his personality btw and how he dazed the authorities exposing their weak points and soften parts).plus there is some technical problem in the montage that some scenes are doubled beside that if they have ended an episode while they won the investigation and cought the criminal, the next episode start anew like nothing happened in the previous one, example when Na young and hyun jun were injured while she was abducted by that criminal who has multiple personality disorder, the next episode, they were sane like nothing happened.
Let go also of the things that has not been sort it out properly in the scripts and others..
Quotes at the end of each investigation were valuable/ the ost were good also.
There was no love story in this drama and that's a dark point also not much to laugh about, only the last episodes can give a bit of a goosebumps but it doesn't last long .
This drama was not a success unfortunately

Happy miserable ending

First of all, i am writing this review to thank the director and screenwriter of this drama for the way they have folded the season 2 of it, such unpleased watcher.
Second, the main story(5.5 rating) is disappointing and messed up for a love triangle to end this way, Kim jojo dumping sun-oh for not clear reason and chose hye-young while she doesn't believe in her feeling and sincerity and because of her terrible scar of the past that shadowed her present life. Her immature acts lead her to hurt the feeling of others and i think she deserves a beating just to wake up from the dark hole that surround her and influence negatively the persons she love. My anger got alleviated a bit by apologizing to sun-oh for her misdeeds but still she needs to give a reason!!!
Third, i gave a 7 overall rating because of the side stories that were interesting, geul mi hardworking to enter that badge club and her discovery that the developer is choi suk duk the one who rang her love alarm and she rejected him is quite epic and funny, that suk-duk is a thing but this 2.0 function created a disturb and caused some suicide crimes so he wanted to remove it after the person called as his brother and the fake developer of love alarm was keen to activate it. Geul mi believing in herself despite her continuing fails make her suscced in the end she even forsaken her online shopping to enter the club, i liked her character.
Fourth, the acting and ost were amazing and well played whether by the leads or the supporters that why i gave a rate of 8.0. The ost called tearliner is quite impressing.
In general, i don't recommend to rewatch this drama but those who will to watch give it a try even if i spoiled everything her

A scratch deviated end

This drama was superb as a plot, the idea of heavens and gods who see everything's and plan everything's and create everything so far as the humans will that can change facts and the idea of the enraged fairy that live by taking souls and human bodies and the death angels that haunt ghosts who may importune humans were all mastered and frivolous, thereby you can learn from this fictionality a lot of things that may benefit you.
Craving into the casts, they were all awesome, lee joon ki as always, his chemistry with shin min ah was overwhelming, the actor yeo woo jin and his character was the most attracting and pitiful and sadly i felt sorry for him, the female shaman and dol sae chemistry was fitted also.
The drama was full of enthusiasm and mysteriousity and funny moments, the conversations between those two so called gods are sneaky and entertaining, specially when they bet on things and preposterous conclusions of the human worlds, the manipulate everything like they want, i liked that
But the end messed everything, as they main story was for arang to find the cause of her death to that bell to ring, they show us that jo wal is the one who threw her from a cliff when she was unconscious after being stabbed by the magistrate mom before the fairy control totally the body and mask her soul so she died by his hands i presume and for him to atone for his misdeeds and for was deeply sorry for lee seo rim who sacrificed herself for him( she loved him when she was alive) while he didn't acknowledge who she was and didn't care that time, he took his own life... but why the hell they make it that arang caused her own death, were they playing with us? this concept deceived me and root out all the good and awesome filming of the 19 episodes.
The fact that eun oh couldn't save his mother life in the end is irritating and feel like all work was in vain. the reincarnating is fishy at the final scene and wasn't necessary also.
Those defaults in the final episode could have been managed otherwise, then this drama would be a skyrocket.

Scarlet heart made our heart broken

This drama is another masterpiece for sageuk lovers but with a painful, unforgettable end, i can't bring myself to express my feelings and to say that i have been crying until now, that feeling when you are left alone, when the person you love die while you was ignoring him out of jealousy and hate although his actions were for your sake, your brothers are apart of you, when your mother touched your face tenderly while she was passing away for the first time in your youthful life, when you rised to the glory but lost everything in fact, what does the throne mean for you now? That bloody seat you gained to have everything you desire made you lose everything. A great compassion from me to gyeonjong, that poorly king who was treated like an animal but proved up to everyone his legacy as a king who ruled for 25 years but with a scarred heart, with an harrowing loneliness and grievance. Lee joon ki( as always marvelous)portrayed this character with a great virtue and an awesome grinta,IU also did an amazing job although her character was the time-bomber which shredded the princes to fight each another as go ha jin because the real hae soo wasn't as interactive, curious, energetic as her(as mentioned in the plot).
The cruel screenwriter made our hearts to ache and obliged us not to forget this drama easily keeping the yearning and the emotions floating, i hope they create a happy ending out from many sad moments next time better than making it unhappier and somber for the viewers.

A so called unbeatable drama

First of all, i would like to thank deeply the writer with his immesurable engineered storyline that associated
investigation, love, friendship, psychology, mystery in one plot.
This drama made the viewer so attached to it from the very start to the very end, the cinematography and links between scenes is awesome, the slow track unveil of the mystery which the drama started with and the doubts implemented followed up with curiosity in the viewer is well versed within the links between the past credit scenes and the start in moment of the episode.
For many episodes, the highly talented outstanding writer led us to doubt everyone as the core of the drama, really he blew the jackpot
Moving to the cast, starting from the main leads, Lee joon ki and moon chae won chemistry is really amazing, their acting is not an acting frankly i say that, i assume they are really experiencing those moments with pure emotions and it scattered my heart when i see them cry because it intrigued me as it is real . lee jong ki portrayed a normal believing he is an abnormal because of what haters and fearers of his dad made out of him(he fitted the role like it was his life), the moments he feels suffocating or heartache i feel the same by empathy, the moment he went nuts(i understand him and so i do) and many other things.bref, he was absolutely the best performer of his role the same go for moon chae for hers.
The other leads were heroics also, the one portraying reporter kim moo jin, who put himself in danger to reveal the truth beside having a funny character and was friend of do hyun so portrayed by the almighty lee joon ki and his sister do hae so who was the first love of this reporter, his chemistry with her is appreciable and the relation between the four leads is solid and charmful.
The one who portrayed the psychopath serial killer is also a boss, his movements, eye hazing, hair tied ,smelling technique really swayed me up pushing me to see he is something like that in his real life.
Everything was wonderful about this so-called-serie and i would like to watch more drama combining lee joon ki and moon chae won. A drama from another planet, if you didn't watch it hurry up and start.

I just finished watching this drama, i have something to express that i can't hold back. First, kim so hyun was overwhelming in her double role, how she managed to portray a tempered strong fascinating girl loved by her friends and another mild mannered calm and tidy girl who was bullied in her previous school. I can't describe this drama with words; the fact that the twins both existed was epic and that eun byul stopped kang so young from bullying and forced her in the end to be remorseful is a big deed. But Tae kwang is the lead that was oppressed he was the first one who acknowledged eun bi as herself, and was heated up that she cared for him but she didn't shared his feelings in the end was a bit disappointing even if eun byul and Han I yan were not true lovers just best friend, it would be more fair that eun-bi like Gong tae kwang who did everything for and not han I yan who was confused between her and eun-byul. The other sides of the story were somehow interesting: min joon and his mom, jung soo In case etc...
In overall, this drama was really enjoyable, it deserve a high rating because of the actors especially the splendid kim so hyun, however the love story was lacking.
