I’m on episode 7, and it’s getting pretty hard to watch with how much her parents are leeching off her. Does Miyu ever cut them off? Or at least start setting boundaries and realize how much they’re taking advantage of her.
To help you with that, think of Victor Ma as one aspect of Sang Yan's personality (the brotherly side) and BJT…
yes, that’s exactly how I see it. Even if we look at Sang Zhi in Hidden Love, her personality feels quite different at home or with her brother compared to how she is with outsiders. With her college friends or dormmates, she’s much shyer, more reserved, and more introverted. And since we only really see Sang Yan’s brotherly side in Hidden Love, it makes sense to view that as just one aspect of his personality, just like Sang Zhi shows different sides of herself in different settings.
I guess people truly haven’t watched PA,or else they wouldn’t complain about the FL’s acting,when the other…
exactly. If someone hasn't watched Princess Agents and jumps straight into this, the flashbacks carry little to no weight. they miss the emotional payoff those scenes offer PA fans; even the opening ice lake scene won’t hit them with the same impact it does for viewers already familiar with the original series.
Not sure why people are complaining so much. It’s basically impossible to get the original cast back after all this time because most of them are big leads now and wouldn’t go back to supporting roles.
I’ll admit the first two episodes were a bit slow/confusing for me. It kind of felt like a Princess Agents sequel, but also not really. After episode 2, though, I started enjoying every moment.
And for those whining about the female lead’s acting, I really don’t get it. Sure, she’s young, but she’s playing her character exactly how she should. Her acting is actually pretty solid, and she could easily outshine a lot of actors in today's C-Drama scene who are just there for their looks.
Also, for anyone who hasn’t watched Princess Agents before, it’s better to watch it first. Otherwise, this one can be hard to follow, even with the flashbacks showing key plot points.
People are saying this is a remake, not a sequel. But I don’t think it’s a remake since it clearly continues the story after that cliffhanger in PA. What do you guys think? There are some flashbacks, which make sense since everything is connected, but that doesn’t make it a remake.
It's from the demon lore. Basically demons are said to be genderless. She/ he has changed into so many faces along…
Oh, okay. I was a bit confused since China usually doesn’t allow same-gender characters to fall in love on screen but the show kind of hinted at it which threw me off 😅 thanks for the reply though, it helps me continue the story without confusion now.
Currently at episode 5. Is Xiaowei originally a man or a woman? According to the two female leads' talk, he must be female i think, and in a male disguise. Also, he is in love with Shengwang or Ms. Yu? I’m damn confused here 😅 Did I miss something very important here?
In the novel, they are real people! They reunite in the real world! But due to Chinese censorship, maybe they will…
thank you so much for your reply! i would love to see them reunite in the modern world, but... and yes, they might indeed take the same route as the ones you mentioned, as it happened with Joy of Life, too.
