Joy of Life is consistently better than GOTD but I really enjoyed the second half of this drama. Dylan was excellent and really showed his talent’s spectrum.
JAPANESE FOOD AND KOREAN FOOD ARE BLAND AT THE BEST
What?? That is such an insult. You obviously haven’t had authentic foods of either countries. How can you insult two countries’ food in such a simple statement. smh
You’re just looking for attention. Here, I gave it to you. Hope you’re happy.
I like that she calls Han Gyul out, because while he clearly has a good heart and is a good person, he is a huge…
They’re in high school and he’s interested in her. While I agree about respecting one’s boundaries, how do you handle teenage puppy love and one sided adoration. How else do you get that person’s attention if you don’t “pursue” them somehow (esp in a drama trope)?
I know right!! It's either one of the two. 1 she's a good actress or 2 she's playing a terribly written character
I don’t believe Hangyul is that shallow. There are nuances in the Korean language that may be lost in translation. Anyway, to me, I think Hangyul sees another side of Sena and is genuinely concerned for her. And, also probably because he’s attracted to her. Nothing wrong with that.
those two +30 year olds cannot play high school students. please just cast two younger actors.
To hire a whole another actor to show a quick flash back may not be in the budget? I think it was fine but I guess some people care about that more than others.
Personally, I don’t understand why people care so much about the actor’s real age if it’s not detrimental to the story. There are actors who put on prosthetic to play older characters or act a later part of their character’s life, or perhaps play disabled, etc. Do they have to be disabled in real life to act the part?
In my opinion, it’s not silly and terrible at all. It had me laughing. Things may be lost in translation though.…
Edited my comment. Yes, I’m just stating my opinion and I respect everyone’s pov. I felt your response was a bit harsh though but that’s your pov. I respect that.
In my opinion, it’s not silly and terrible at all. It had me laughing. Things may be lost in translation though. In original Korean language, this is SUPER funny. They are all speaking in Kyeongsangdo dialect (Busan) dialect. It plays on the culture and caricatures of the southeastern region.
It also plays homage to several previous dramas to further the comic narrative. It’s a VERY GOOD satire and it gets better in episode 2 and 3.
I’m LOVING Ahn Bo Hyun as the ML. This is my favorite rom com atm.
I do agree about the humor and comedy aspect. I really enjoyed all the nuanced and outright humor.

I’m having so much fun watching this drama. Haven’t laughed out loud in years watching a drama.
Kinda reminds me of the first time I watched Hometown Cha Cha Cha.
