Unfortunately she has been experimenting a lot on her face. She actually looked pretty decent with her natural…
She’s getting older. Of course it will change. I don’t think it’s ruined. It’s just aging.
As the above commenter said, I agree that what she does with her face and skin is her business. She’s an actor and she’s acting well here. Just enjoy her performance and complement her on her acting merit. I’m sure she faces immense pressure all around to keep up with her fellow actors who are considered “prettier” than her in the industry. She’s probably doing what she feels is best to put herself in the best situation.
Where I do agree natural beauty and aging is best, that is just my opinion. What she does for herself is up to her and we should not say she “ruined” anything. That’s you pushing your opinion on another person’s appearance and basically (reverse) body shaming.
I LOVE THIS DRAMA! It is so clever and funny. The throwback of Korean dramas from the past is incredibly clever and funny. I couldn’t stop laughing throughout episode 4. It’s one of the few dramas I am truly enjoying as I watch.
I liked Im Ji Yeon in the past but now I am a true fan after this. Her acting and tone is perfect for her character. Neither IJH nor the ml Heo Nam Joon are the pretty face we’ve come to expect in the past few years but he’s perfect for this role as well. Their chemistry is perfect. I can’t wait to see the rest of the drama!
PS - if you’re a slightly older Korean person, the past drama references are SO SO SO much more fun because it reminds us of our younger days when we watched these dramas and their impact on Korean culture since. But, the way they incorporated them here is perfect enough to make the drama fun for a new generation and for non-Korean audiences. Well done!
(PPS - I’m not discounting anyone’s experiences watching this drama so please don’t yell at me. I’m just expressing my enthusiasm for this drama which I am so thoroughly enjoying. Thanks!)
Why have i never seen lee hong nae in a drama before?? Where has this gorgeous man been all my life? Thank you…
He was typecast as villain characters for most of his career. I’m glad he has the chance to break that stereotype. Hopefully, he’ll get more opportunities after this drama. I hope this drama will be successful.
what's sangyi's character problem? such an entitled person
His character is a control freak, entitled, competitive and self-centered. From the way he throws in English phrases and reactions frequently, he must’ve studied abroad and thinks of himself as an elite officer looking to climb the ladder asap.
Can you all seriously even speculate about the nature of the emergency for the frozen pollack?I am a good cook…
What pollack soup are you talking about?
He cooked seaweed soup with sea urchin. The “kick” was ground perilla seeds which the leader was allergic to. The dish is “sung geh mee yuk gook” with “deul ggeh gah roo”.
it’s kinda annoying that everyone’s so apprehensive around SJ when he could be depressed but he doesn’t…
I think the previous ones with similar answers and S class rating were seriously delusional and depressed. I think the group may have PTSD from the previous candidates. It was inferred in everyone’s reaction and response. But, I guess it’s also to enhance the comedic storyline.
I watched this in one sitting. It’s not a 10 but a solid 9.5 for me. I really enjoyed all the character developments and the love stories of each couple.
The name of the cafe is Shim 쉼 - which can be translated to rest, peace, take a break, pause or breathe. Quite appropriate to describe the cafe owner’s character and role.
I really like Chae Jong Hyeop’s acting style. It’s usually soft and gentle. Each sister had a distinct character and I really enjoyed their stories.
It may be a sleeper hit but I really enjoyed the pace and the resolution.
Afaik, they haven't started filming yet. In November 2025, they confirmed S2 will happen. Usually it takes around a year from filming to air date if there are no issues during production. Most likely sometime in 2027.
