A very satisfying happy ending 😍 The storyline was well-structured until the end and not draggy at all, especially with the incredible on-screen and off-screen chemistry between Xiao Lin and Meng Jie. (From their behind the scnene videos, press conferences, promotions, interviews and variety shows, they seem so close to each other and super cute. No wonder many people support this CP 😚)
I don’t regret deciding to watch this because of their adorable chemistry in the variety shows 😆

LOL 😆this is also my first time doing it for episode 29. I had to fast-forward through SH and Ansu’s scenes 🫣. It’s so annoying to see this couple 🤨. our zhao zhao momo couple didn’t get much screentime in this episode 😢🥺
Today’s episode had very little screentime for Song Mo and Dou Zhao 😟. Well, at least it gave a bit of insight into Song Han’s ambitions and Jiyong. Aaah, about Jiyong… ugh, why is his character becoming so annoying? Ugh!

The first couple in the drama already ended in an SE. Dou Ming died because Wei Ting Yu was a useless husband 🙄, but they loved each other deeply.
The second couple seems to be heading for an SE as well, even though the drama hasn’t revealed the outcome yet. This is because Song Han chose to turn evil, and in a trailer scene, Miao Ansu is shown stabbing Song Han.
As for the last couple, based on the novel, they end in an HE. However, in the drama, it’s still uncertain because they were only paired recently (besides the main couple, Song Mo & Dou Zhao, whom i absolutely adore 😍, i also really like this couple—they’re so cute 😃)
Thankfully, Song Mo isn’t the selfish type who’s like, “I’m sick and dying, so I’ll divorce you to set you free,” i was overthinking after seeing the preview yesterda 😆gladly, the issue was resolved quickly in today’s episode too 🫢
I cried along during the scene where Song Mo had a flashback to the happy moments with his uncle, parents, and younger brother 🥲, I couldn’t hold back my tears 😭😭. Poor Song Mo, he’s been through so many hardships back-to-back
Oh one more thing, i’m so happy when i checked the MDL site—wow, the rating has gone up to 8.9! I’m so glad, and this drama truly deserves such a high rating ☺️

the info i got from someone who has read the novel is basically, Song Mo's father was forced to marry Song Mo’s mother by Duke Ding (Song Mo’s uncle) so that the uncle could control the father. But since the father turned out to be incompetent, Duke Ding planned to pass on his title to Song Mo instead. Moreover, the father never liked the Jiang family (his wife’s family).
In addition, Song Mo grew up with his uncle, Duke Ding. Song Mo has been excellent literary and military, he is fast in learning, smart, outstanding child and gaining favor from the emperor. This made the father feel scared and envious. As a result, he wanted Song Han (his second son) to inherit the Duke title so that the father could control Song Han because he knew Song Mo couldn’t be controlled. So that's why the father tried to frame Song Mo, so the inherited Duke title could be taken away from him.
In short, the father cared more about his reputation and title than his own child

There are so many moments where Song Mo shows his respect for Dou Zhou as someone he loves. He never forces her into anything, and his efforts for Dou Zhou are incredibly thoughtful and sincere.
One example is when Song Mo pleaded with the Emperor to issue a decree allowing Dou Zhou the freedom to choose her own partner without interference from her family. Even though Song Mo could have directly asked the Emperor to arrange their marriage, he chose instead to prioritize Dou Zhou’s freedom so she could live her life on her own terms.
There’s also a scene a few days before their wedding where Song Mo made a huge effort to find a bracelet that belonged to Dou Zhou’s late mother. He didn’t give up until he got it, all to ensure Dou Zhou wouldn’t feel sad or have any regrets.
Hang in there, at the beginning, there isn’t much screentime together yet because it’s still focusing on telling their individual lives.
