The last scene of ep 26—even though they changed the sitting position (honestly, I’m kinda sad about that )—BUT the director turned it into slow motion and it was just… WOW it felt so luxurious and epic 😭🔥
And with JJ Lin’s OST as the BGM, plus ZLH & TXW’s acting—yeah, I’m DONE. That’s it. I’m gone LOL 🔥

I can’t waaait for the next episode—this is seriously torture, only getting one episode until Friday 😭 I swear I’m trying to be patient 🥲

Oh my—XZ is still pretending in previews 24–25 🤣
Especially in preview episode 25, he even asked his subordinate to pretend to be him, and the poor guy was trembling 😅
Just wait, XZ—you’re gonna get punched by your wife 😆

Ahh I seriously can’t wait for the next episode. The wait is pure torture 🥲

Like, when will Changyu realize that her husband is Marquis Wuan 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Based on the preview up to episode 23 and the schedule from their Weibo account, it should happen at the beginning of next week. Maybe in episodes 24–25 they’ll reunite, and Changyu will find out XZ’s real identity

The two men guarding our heroine when the blind lady brings back her clothes, FL called them “fake soldiers,”…
They really are XZ’s subordinates, Changyu just misunderstood.
Remember the previous incident when Sui incited the Qingfeng villagers and chased Changyu? Changyu thought they were Sui’s men

I’m so mad watching those two siblings—they’re both insane psychos. 🤬I really hope they get a truly satisfying ending because their actions in episodes 18 and 19 are infuriating. And episode 18 was absolutely heartbreaking… seeing Li’an Village massacred like that 😭

I can’t wait for the next episode!
I’m also curious about the preview for episode 22—when XZ ordered his soldiers to rescue Ning, he called her ‘my daughter’. 😅
Is that because Sui Yanqing claimed Ning is his child? 😆

Please be mindful in calling an important and majestic feature of Chinese culture "ridiculous" and show…
Yes, I was honestly surprised seeing people call it ridiculous or even satanic. Wouldn’t it be better to look up the meaning first and understand why that accessory exists?

t’s also because I’m from the generation that grew up watching Sun Wukong, so seeing that kind of headpiece doesn’t feel strange to me at all 😆

That head ornament with those 2 feathers 🪶 is soooo ridiculous, it would have been even more ridiculous if…
Please be mindful when commenting on something related to another culture. It’s always better to look up the meaning first. Since this is a Chinese drama, many elements in the costumes and visuals actually come from Chinese cultural traditions and symbolism

It’s called lingzi (翎子), a traditional ornament made from long pheasant tail feathers worn on a warrior or general’s headpiece in Chinese opera and historical costumes. It symbolizes military status, authority, and bravery

So the headpiece actually has meaning. It’s not something added randomly just to look cool or stylish. It’s a traditional element with cultural symbolism, which is why the character wears it

I've seen some reactions to the fight our leads had in today's episodes, and I didn't want to comment directly…
Wow, your analysis is really long and very clear 😆
I agree with your take.
Personally, I also don’t think the scene was problematic. To me it actually showed a very human side of a couple who clearly don’t want to part, but are still too proud and emotionally overwhelmed to say sweet things or make promises they’re afraid they might not be able to keep. I can understand both of their perspectives.
And that scene is actually in the novel as well.
So I also really liked how the scene was executed without turning Xie Zheng into a red flag character.

I also can’t wait for their reunion, and I’m really curious to see Changyu’s reaction when she finds out that Xie Zheng is actually the Marquis whose memorial tablet she’s been praying to 😆

Why is he having devil’s horns? That’s not majestic but satanic.
It’s not devil horns. In Chinese historical drama military costumes, that ornament is called lingzi.

Lingzi are long pheasant tail feathers attached to a general’s headpiece, symbolizing military authority, command over troops, bravery, and martial prowess.

Characters who wear lingzi are usually commanders or elite generals, which fits Xie Zheng’s character perfectly.

So please don’t call them devil horns anymore 🙂 They actually represent honor and leadership, not anything satanic.

Omo omo omo!! The rating keeps going up—now it’s 9.1🔥

Honestly, the rating here isn’t lying at all. It really reflects how good this drama is. The story is amazing, the plot is great, the acting is great, the chemistry is great, the cinematography is beautiful, and the directing is solid.

Wuaaah okay then, I really hope they can maintain this quality until the very end of the drama! 🥹✨
i’m really, really excited waiting for the new episode ❤️🥹

HELP🙏🙏🙏 Where do you watch the series? I noticed the first episode's opening scene subtitles had different…
From my perspective, the subtitles on iQIYI and WeTV are more or less the same.
And WeTV’s subtitles aren’t AI translations since this drama is officially from Tencent.
For resolution, I prefer iQIYI because they provide 4K (I have a premium subscription, so I can watch it in 4K).

What i don’t like about iQIYI is that they also translate the BGM songs, so the subtitles overlap with the dialogue and sometimes cover the actors’ faces.

WeTV is better in that regard because they don’t translate the BGM songs, so the subtitles don’t overlap. Plus, i can read the viewers’ comments too, and some of them are really funny xixixi 😆
