Nevertheless an enjoyable drama. Rating it 8/10
The thing which irritated me most was having no distinction between the concept of branding, marketing and product development.
But when this drama was airing, I kept seeing spoilers on my timeline and realised this drama is not a remake but a romcom. While I can still write atleast two paragraphs stating the differences between both the dramas, as soon as I watched the first episode of this, I realised my initial assumption was correct and this drama has nothing much to do with Go ahead apart from the initial setup.
This was an enjoyable drama from start to finish. First half is really carried by the sunshine FL. 2ML shines in the second half. I really liked the improved dynamics and the relationship of two fathers with eachother. Unlike other dramas where second couple are just for cute factor, I liked the fact how they helped eachother throughout the drama. Last episode does the perfect job of closing out everything.
Rating it 9/10
It's not a 10/10 drama. I rated it 8/10.
But, I like dramas that make me smile. Main couple made me smile and I genuinely enjoyed the feel of a drama after a long time. FL nailed her role and without doubt the highlight of this drama. The OST complimented the drama very well. The main OST was played like 100 times in this drama but it didn't annoy me like it did in Something In The Rain. On the contrary, I liked it.
The best part of this drama is the final segment and it really leaves you with a genuine smile. Guess they cracked the 'Smile Code' of how to end a Romcom. I am going to remember the ending for a long time.
Rating this 8/10
Romance in Korean version seems better than Chinese version. Family bonding of Chinese version seems better than Korean version.
Both are two entirely different dramas.
Fight for my way is more slice of life than an sports drama. Love All Play is a better sports drama with melo aspect.
This is the second drama of the year that I was excited to watch and waited eagerly to end airing. But as I kept following the spoilers and followed the story, I lost interest because of how many life long trauma and issues was brushed aside in minutes. Don't get me wrong, it is still a entertaining drama. You have to skip and fast forward some episodes because the run time of each episode is too long for the story it is intending to tell.
Leads carried the show and not the story. Rating this 8/10
Our beloved summer is my favourite second chance romance drama. I feel this would end up being my second favourite in the genre. This drama was a breath of fresh air to be honest. This has no path breaking story that is not told before but execution was spot on. The drama has 3 different couples. Each distinct and complemented the story well. I was not bored at any point. The drama did not drag as it was 24 episodes instead of 30+ episode snoozefest. Finale was unexpected. The drama also had it's classic KDrama moment and reveal, which you will see if you watch the drama. Surprisingly, OST was also good and complemented the show.
Parting thoughts: People make mistakes when they are young. Many learn from them and fix it. Becoming an adult does not mean that you no longer make mistakes. You will still make mistakes but being an adult also means owning the mistake and fixing them. Each couple showed it one way or another, which I think is the selling point of this drama.
I seldom recommend any drama but I do hope more people watch it. It is a realistic story in most parts and will entertain you for sure.
Rating this 8.5/10 (I do think I will rewatch it in future and will probably make it 9/10).
