once again, annoying FL ruins the show
i don't get what it is with cdramas and annoying FLs. it's even more infuriating when they force-feed one into a BL work. her entire existence is to be a sounding board for Lu Yao (to explain his thought process to the audience) and provide convenient case details. all while playing her role as annoying "tough" reporter who publishes whatever she wants.i almost want to give it a lower score, but the cases are interesting enough, and the two MLs are great. even with the butchered to hell bromance, their chemistry comes across. also, Lu Yao is a hilarious ML and I really like how his character is written.

Spectacularly Mediocre
The plot, the acting, the fight scenes. Everything about this show is average, but I guess it's entertaining enough to keep me watching. I read a comment somewhere that it was a mosh-posh of things from other shows and it's so true. The no-love curse, the school arc, the tower arc, the fallen genius, even the master trapped in another dimension. The only thing I find new and refreshing is the relationship between the ML and SML/antagonist, they are hilarious and actually kind of adorable. I guess I'm mainly watching for the tiny snippets of "bromance" moments I get cause the romance kind of came out of nowhere for me and was meh.EDIT: I dropped it xD

this just goes to show how important dubbing is
i really don't know why this is rated so high? the acting is meh (ML is fine), the dubbing is meh (i like ML's va), and the two not being in sync (timing & emotions) is a recipe for disaster.i'm giving this the benefit of the doubt and putting story at 5 because the horrid audio (some of the music choices are weird too) makes it impossible for me to get into the plot. ML is a saving grace for me, but not enough to make me keep watching FL being a screaming mess. i heard it maybe gets better after she stops screaming but i'll never know because i can't stand FL's acting.

Why are all females written so.. basic?
I really wanted to finish this series because there are things about the plot and characters I enjoy, The clichés that come w/ the character tropes I can overlook. The sometimes exaggerated acting I can ignore. The draggy and disjointed plot points I can fast-forward through. THE ENDLESS BASIC BITCH MENTALITY OF ALL THE FEMALES CHARACTERS I CANNOT. The first couple times it happened I brushed it off thinking that they would move on from this nonsense. Nope. Everyone acts like they are jealous 12 year-olds bullying the new pretty girl.
