A modern, thoughtful drama -- worthwhile watching
This is a worthwhile watch, technically excellent, the whole crew is brilliant -- can you see me guys? On my knees bowing.
Great characters, generally great performances, although Jing Boran is as usual outstanding.
A primo technical watch for the way in which nothing is wasted and everyone's actions , every single moment contributes to the storyline. An adaptation of a much longer novel (how many times have we said this!) with one or two places where the director seems to have thought the narrative transitions were easily understood, but they werent.
I really enjoyed it. Havent seen a proper thoughtful, modern drama like this in quite some time.
"You dont have to be perfect to deserve love" a leitmotif in the show -- it also works on the outside for the show itself.
I loved it. I loved Shang ZhiTao anf Luan Nian SOO MUCH.
