i need season 2 so bad!! i wanna see these two work on more cases together cause their dynamic was honestly one of my fave things about the show. it had such a gripping thriller vibe too, had me hooked right from the start and i was so invested in figuring out what was actually going on. at one point i was even starting to doubt the FL hahdhaha

i just wish the ending had more buildup because it felt a little rushed compared to how well-paced everything else was, but still such a good watch. the twists had me second guessing everything and i was fully locked in. kinda mad at myself for not watching this sooner 🥲

i agree. I just knew people would have a problem with FL one way or another. She´s a fangirl and as someone who…
yesss! i really like your take on her. she’s clearly competent at what she does and takes her work seriously but then her fan side somehow ends up being useful too, especially when it comes to marketing and social media 🙂‍↕️she really gets to bring both sides of herself into what she does and somehow it works so well. it’s honestly such a funny and cliche situation, i love it :D

You're saying there's a broad spectrum of crazy in K-pop fans? Absolutely, that extends to all people of fame…
yes you should! 🙂‍↕️ i’ve been enjoying it so far, it’s perfect to put on while eating lmao

fair point! and yeah, i understand what you mean about fandom being a spectrum and i totally agree with that. i’m just distinguishing between fandom behavior in general and what we’re actually seeing with this specific issue in the drama, particularly the representation. from my pov, the representation here doesn’t seem particularly extreme, it just feels like pretty normal behavior from the FL as a fan.

there’s definitely a broad spectrum of k-pop fans but i don’t think we can always correlate that with being “crazy.” fans have different levels of support and different ways of reacting to things. i’m solely talking about this specific issue with the drama and their concern over the representation which doesn’t seem that crazy compared to what we’ve seen from different fandoms.

idk maybe it’s just me but i don’t think the FL is a bad representation of kpop fans at all! she’s honestly pretty tame?? i’ve been into one kpop group for 10 whole years and if i suddenly got to work with my bias, i’d probably be freaking out too?!?!! though being a huge fan doesn’t mean u genuinely expect to date them and i think the FL is slowly starting to understand that herself like cmon, let her figure it out 🤕

she literally just collects merch and supports him. that’s really not that wild when you know how intense some fans can actually get. kpop fans are truly a different breed and i mean that in the best way possible ahdhhaha

and it’s a romcom! the fluffy romance and silly moments are literally the fun of it. sure, some characters could’ve had more depth but i don’t think every storyline needs to become complicated when the drama is clearly going for something light and fun :3

strong start but i feel like it kinda fell off in the last few eps?? still rated it pretty high because the concept was really good and i could kinda see what they were trying to do with the whole gun storyline. i just wish they explored that side of the story more, especially towards the end. it had so much potential but felt a little lacking in depth for me because honestly, the idea of being able to get shot at anytime and anywhere is terrifying 🤯

i just wish they kept the same intensity and tension from the beginning all the way through. still a fun watch tho, especially because kim youngkwang was there :D

girl why choose? have them both jk 😭 but it’s still too early to tell who she has to end up with. both the ML and SML have their own charms and they’re both really sweet towards her.

though i must say, as a kpop fan myself, there’s sometimes a thin line between admiring an idol and actually wanting to end up with them in real life, so i can see why it gets confusing at first when you’ve only put your attention on one guy all these years.

but if we’re talking about who i enjoy watching her with the most… the ceo wins LMAO they’re so chaotic together and i love that she can just be herself around him. like there’s no pressure, they just naturally bounce off each other and it makes their interactions so fun to watch. i’m literally giggling and kicking my feet every time they’re on screen together :D they have such a good romcom dynamic!

i love what she said at the beginning, that love takes many forms, and when we love, we're also capable of hurting. litigation is almost always the last stage of trying to heal or tend to those wounds.

as i was watching all the cases, i was mostly focused on how each one shed light on a different perspective. i also agree with how they acknowledged that the law is imperfect and that it's in the hands of the court to assess what's just and equitable for everyone.

then the last few minutes of episode 12, when they started talking about love, that's when everything clicked for me. love really is so complex. almost every case they solved had love at its root, and that love, in one way or another, ended up hurting people.

i love this kdrama so much! it actually made me question what love really is for me (?) season 2 pleaseee hehe romance for the main leads would be a bonus but honestly, i'd still watch it even if they keep it exactly as it is.

everything about this drama is a masterpiece FR! neither of them was looking for anything yet somehow they became each other's person :( their bond was so complex that even “i love you” feels too shallow to describe it??

i cried so much during the last episode, especially with the soundtrack playing during sieun's breakdown scene. i felt his pain so deeply that i was crying right along with him.

they deserve to reunite in season 3. after everything they've been through, i just want them to find their way back to each other.

i loved the first few episodes but by ep 9 i started to feel a bit off. the plot is really interesting but it feels kinda heavy for me, so it’s not really a “feel good” cdrama.

i’m not dropping it just yet but it’s more of the kind you take slowly, like 1 episode per day and not something you can binge-watch all day because it feels emotionally draining. nonetheless, they look cute together.

such a healthy bond between the ML and the FL. i love how they’re always able to learn from each other and support each other in the best way. after all the bad things the FL experienced with the 2nd ML, she’s really the luckiest now with the ML. he understands her, listens to her and takes care of her, but not to the point of babying her too much. he still lets her stand on her own and grow as a person. i just love them so much, and they remind me so much of the best thing couple.

i also liked how they portrayed “moving on”, because as someone who experienced the same thing, it’s really important to free yourself and allow yourself to be loved again, but at the same time still hesitate since you really did care for the other person. i love how she’s handling her emotions in such a wise way.

they’re just so good for each other it hurts. i can’t wait for ep 16 hahaha i just want to binge-watch it all day!!

went into this drama with low expectations because of the reviews but i ended up enjoying it way more than i expected. i’d give it a solid 9/10 ⭐️ the plot can be a bit repetitive since they solve almost everything with food but somehow it works (?) i liked learning about the dishes and the ingredients, especially how they showcased both chinese and korean cuisines during the competition, you can really feel the contrast between the two cultures.

and the leads??? they look so good together 😭 the ML seriously looks like a manhwa character. his acting got me too tbh i cried when he cried. yoona also did much better here compared to king the land.

overall, this drama was really enjoyable. the pacing was nice, the story made sense, and it was executed well. if you’re into food, history & romance, you should definitely give this a chance :)

loving this drama already! i loved Young Woo’s performance in The Trauma Code and it’s great to see his range with such a completely different character.

i really hope they keep the FL and second ML’s friendship platonic. it’s such a refreshing dynamic. looking forward to episode 3 and everything ahead!

The setting for this drama is exactly what I want for my retirement.I have a very Hectic work life in the city…
totally agree!! the simplicity of the story is what made it so impactful for me. nothing felt overdone, it was just people quietly moving through life and finding peace in ordinary moments. the setting added to that too, it felt like the kind of place you’d go just to pause and breathe for a while.

i also really appreciated how they portrayed grief !! not as a dramatic twist, but as a natural part of life. it made everything feel more grounded and human.

i wasn’t expecting much but from the very first episode, i found myself crying with the female lead. the way they portrayed grief really stayed with me. it didn’t try to glamorize it, just showed it for what it is. i’m in my early 20s and lately i’ve been feeling like time is slipping away from me. i always feel like i should be doing more and it makes it hard to just be in the present.

i moved to the city for school and going home isn’t something i get to do often. my days are usually packed and i’m constantly busy but deep down, i feel like i’m just going in circles. that line from Dou about feeling like the hand of a clock, “always moving forward but with no real direction” really hit home.

also, it didn’t just focus on the leads, everyone was going through something and the show gave each of them a chance to heal. it felt less like watching a scripted show and more like witnessing the lives of people i could actually know irl. people like us, who are lost, tired and just trying to make it through each day.

if you’re in your 20s or even 30s/40s, and you’ve been feeling tired or unsure about where life is going, i really recommend this drama. it serves as reminder that it’s okay to slow down. that you don’t have to keep moving just for the sake of moving.

While I’m not a fan of WIFTY, I’ve never left any negative comments on the page. Surprisingly, this drama…
totally agree! they did touch on the girl's relationship with her mom and showed why she always tries to act strong especially since it’s just her and her dad now. and for the guy, the adoption part was explored a bit, but i really wish they went deeper into his healing. there was so much emotional weight there that could’ve been unpacked more.

still, such a beautiful drama! definitely one of those shows that stays with you ❤️‍🩹

On Be Passionately in Love Jun 8, 2025
already wrote this on my review but as much as i loved WIFTY (my top 1 cdrama), BPIL hit me on an entirely different level.

it was imperfect in the most human way and maybe that's exactly why i loved it even more. it wasn't trying to be flawless, it was messy & complicated. it showed love in its most vulnerable form.

a lot of people were saying the female lead ruined the drama by not allowing kissing scenes but tbh that didn't bother me at all because the chemistry was still so alive. the tension. the yearning. the way they looked at each other like the world had stopped moving. the flirting. the way their eyes said everything their lips never had to. THAT did it for me, especially Wang Anyu's eyes...

GIVE THIS DRAMA A CHANCE PLEASE 🙏🏻
