While I get Nont's upset, this is also kind of the risk you run when you literally step into your twin brother's life. Like, of course his friends and lover(s) are gonna care a little more about him than you, babes. This isn't Not Me.
I do kind of love the Nont/Prom/absent but not gone Nant love triangle we have though. More of that. And for Nont to spiral even more. Gimme all that mess, please and thank.
Episode 5 is literally the 2nd best (after ep 1), if not the best DFF episode so far, it gives more lore to the…
Never trust an MDL rating lol.
It was a really great episode, I agree. I don't think it's the lack of romance causing the low rating, though, because the show hasn't really focused on romance at all. My guess is the bullying and the extended flashback rather than getting back to the masked dude and the possessions (or someone drugging people with Non's pills, which maybe can cause hallucinations...).
Personally I think this is the perfect spot for a couple flashback eps, but I am almost always guaranteed to disagree with ratings here. :D
ETA: I just looked at the ratings for all the eps and huh, maybe it is a lack of romance. If so, that's on the viewers, not the show, because they never promised us a romance. Ah well, I'm digging it and will continue to watch.
Imo this is how a show should be. BL's are centered around the couple thing, but a normal show which has couples…
That isn't really true, though. Romance plots are almost always about the romance first and some flimsy other plot second. So since most BLs tend to be romances they're really just falling in line with the trend.
That said, I would be happy to see more BLs that weren't strictly romances. So I hope that starts happening more.
I am enjoying this a lot but it was never marketed as romance, so it's silly to compare it to shows that are.
Well, if they're trying to make it so I don't care about these kids getting picked off by a masked murderer they're doing a bang up job. I am genuinely furious about the stunt with the camera.
Jin seems like the only decent one in the group, which tracks with what we've seen so far. There is still time to find out differently, of course.
The more I think about it, the more I think he could be part of the revenge scheme. He definitely seemed eager enough to let the three new people watch their footage. And he could be faking seeing things.
But frankly my money is still on White, if there's only one person helping. Even if we don't find out that Jin caved to peer pressure and began treating Non the same way the others did, I imagine having him sort of let it happen was just as upsetting. Fluke, too. Dude might not have done anything himself, sure, but he sat by and watched it all and didn't say a word. In some views that would make him just as culpable as the rest of these little shits.
I wonder what Tony is - some kind of super duper enigma? Otherwise, I donโt see why Way was so scared of him,…
Yeah, the super power is brainwashing and abuse. He gets them before their powers really manifest, remember. They're young, they're scared, he makes himself their only comfort and then he brutally shows them what happens to that comfort any time they put a toe out of line. Basically he conditions them to react like this. Look at Kenta, clearly hating what he does and often getting the brunt of his anger and yet still unable to do so much as lift a finger to stop him, and what's more actively helping him/doing his bidding. I think it's infinitely more psychological than physical.
I have to say, that scene in part 1 (you know the one) with Way and Babe was super effective. Great job from both actors, but especially Pavel. Like holy shit.
Are you watching this because you are off gun fans or is it actually a good series
I don't particularly care for the lauded OffGun chemistry, so I probably would tune out if I didn't find the entire show adorable. I like that it knows exactly what it is and isn't trying to be anything else.
I might have said this before, but I have never liked Off so much as I like Off in this. Why doesn't he play adorable and awkward more often? It's so charming.
I'm gonna be honest (well, I'm always honest, but this is how I like to preface comments that I feel might be slightly controversial lol): I don't feel bad for Way at all. Dude was pulling a Ray from Only Friends and trying to take advantage of a friend /unrequited crush in a very vulnerable place, he deserves to be left alone at that restaurant.
I do wish that Babe had taken longer to forgive Charlie because I like pining and angst and this is SO MUCH BETTER a reason than like, 95% of BL breakups (or romance breakups in general). They could have dragged this out and it would have been completely understandable, so I am sad about that wasted opportunity.
Charlie has the best power - I'm not surprised Tony doesn't know that he has any though, because Charlie clearly has been able to do this for a while and has been hiding it, and I bet it's easier to hide a power you steal than it is a power you have naturally. I also think Babe cares less about that because he never really seemed to care much about his power anyway, it's done nothing but cause him trouble. Besides, as he said he's still awesome without it. I haven't read the novel and have zero plans to but that part makes sense from what I've seen.
Bad Evil Doctor! I love a good smirky villain but I hate when Tharn and Phaya are on the outs. I want Phaya flirting like a twelve year old and Tharn pretending he's not completely into it back, please.
I have to say, Jimmy is really impressing me in this. I haven't seen Vice Versa so I don't know how he was in that, but I was not a fan of him in Bad Buddy. However, he is really charming me as Mhok.
I am a little disappointed that the show seems to be going the Phojai/Night route rather than my hoped for Phojai/Gee one, but I will live. Also, if it means I get to see more Mark onscreen, I will take it. :D

Do I really have a basis for this? Nope. Doesn't matter. I'm side eyeing the hell out of him.
Well, I mean. Look at him. I don't blame either of them tbh he's the cutest.
Tharn, already halfway across the country: Lol no.
...is that not how it went?

I missed Alan and Jeff this ep.

Yeah I caved. Hopefully it stays a fun time. :D
