No but seriously throw a bone, here. I am seeing gifs and I am taking back everything bad I said about the kiss…
My general assumption is people are watching it without subs. I would probably do the same if I could. I will try to be patient but hot damn those gifs are telling a story.
where are people watching ep4 right now?? its not available on viki or gaga for me yet....someone tell me where…
No but seriously throw a bone, here. I am seeing gifs and I am taking back everything bad I said about the kiss last episode but it's not the same as watching it.
Right. Their face muscle doesnt even move a bit. Lol. A warm hug after could fix it tho, but they chose to sit…
Aw the giggling actually saved it for me, a little. They're so giddy and relieved and it's really sweet.
I also think I've come around to the kiss after *mumblemumble*rewatches. I think it fits. I do worry that'll be the best we get but I'm willing to wait for at least one more before I decide it is.
Well that was my favorite ep so far. Kiss was not good, but I expected as much so I wasn't too bothered. Maybe…
The tent stuff was so darn good I can't deal with it. Koichi just getting more and more riled up as he talks, letting out all this stuff that he's clearly been thinking of for a while - the way he just freezes when he sees he's made Mitsuru cry. And the scene at the little pavilion like thing...not sure how I missed that this occurred the summer before the zombifying, but now I know and that means, seeing as they met in the spring 2 years before Koichi was hit by a truck, that this is a year's worth of pining exploding all over everything. That makes a lot of sense.
The acting is so good, honestly. My heart hurt for Mitsuru when he's watching Koichi and then catching himself, over and over. It's so relatable in the most painful way, every time he has to remind himself that he has to hide. And Koichi himself is so emotionally open - no wonder Mitsuru's reaction to him was confusing!
It also throws such an interesting wrench in everything, that they were already together by the point that the accident happened. In a way it makes it hurt a little more, because they both know exactly what they stand to lose if and when Koichi dies for good.
I hope it only gets better. This episode really raised the bar for me (and it was already pretty high, if I'm honest). Really looking forward to next week! The preview looks spicy and I think it's in the present again, or the time in which Koichi is zombie boyfriend.
Some viewers think that the first kiss shared between Koichi, and his Mitchan was childish? Hmm.It was a very…
As one of the commenters who expressed some disappointment, it's true that I think it could have been done better and still conveyed innocence or tentativeness if that was the intent. It also makes me worry that this is the future w/r/t any other kisses.
That said, I have always maintained that even with kisses I'm not jazzed about I'll still love it if the chemistry otherwise can carry the day, and it is, for me. I loved absolutely everything leading to the kiss, like right up until the moment lips touched, and I loved the little moment afterwards.
Wait, do we know whether they are already dating or not? (It was a bit unclear). If they’re already meant to…
I think that the scene in the preview is almost certainly a flashback, and I do think that Koichi is really dead. But while the idea of him representing Ouimi's denial of his death is super interesting, I don't think that's the case here (unless you mean something like Ouimi is keeping Koichi from truly "dying" due to sheer force of will - that I could see. Or that they both care about each other too much to let go, which is why we have a walking, talking Koichi corpse - I love the idea that his body is suspended in that one moment in time, caught there. It's so cool to me).
I do not think that it's all in Ouimi's mind. I do think that prepping for a sad or bittersweet ending would be a good idea though. For sure.
I too am really curious to know if they were together before the accident, though. And if they were, how long? If they weren't and I am right that the preview is a flashback, then why not? I'm impatient to find out!
Okay I still can't stop thinking about the preview and Mitsuru being like "if he knew how I felt, I could lose the best friend I've ever had" (paraphrased). I'm just like. Have you SEEN how that boy looks at you?
(also the part where Mitsuru pulled his hand away from Koichi. Don't make him sad, dude, he probably doesn't have that long left)
Its a Japanese BL. Either they will kiss like two kids and very quickly at that or something will interrupt their…
Oooooh I didn't know that! I know that there are at least two explicit love scenes in the source material that the drama is based on but well...Japan lol. IMO there tend to be two things that decide how much we'll get when it comes to love scenes.
1 - is someone an idol. 2. the ages. One of these actors is very young so I don't expect much from him tbh.
That said, I really don't care overmuch about the kissing if I can believe that the chemistry is there in other ways. My favorite BL drama ever so far is My Beautiful Man/Utsukushii Kare, and while the kisses were bad to so-so in that the chemistry between the leads more than made up for it imo. If the emotional chemistry stays the way it is I think I'll love it even if the physical chemistry doesn't quite make it.

Yeah a lot of the darker or angstier BL tends to have higher heat. The problem there is that those often don't end well. :) Personally with this one I'm expecting the usual dead fish kiss, but I'm hoping that the (imo, otherwise very good) chemistry between the leads makes up for it.
I'm so glad they answered the question of whether or not Koichi was going to rot. It would have bugged the crap out of me if they hadn't.
Also is he going to go home or is Mitsuru going to bring him to his house? What are they going to tell his family? They were all so cute and I just can't see how they can have Koichi go home the way he is without the family finding out.
What an oddly charming first episode. I love how awkward and stilted that first conversation was - I guess that when Koichi is in, he's all in, huh? Persevering in the face of Mitsuru's responses seemed tough. That long look they shared in the rain was delightful, too - Koichi in particular looked a bit bowled over after. Their chemistry already works for me. I hope it only gets better.
I know it's not gonna end well, but I'm strapped in for the ride, regardless. I do have a question, though - how often is Viki so far behind Gaga with subs?
