One of the best episodes I've seen in any drama. The dialogue, the cinematography, the acting, everything about…
Oooh I did not catch the mountain/sea thing and I have watched the third episode an embarrassing number of times (I knew that Mitsuru's last name was close to sea, but Koichi's never registered). That's nifty.
This is a BL. It has a happy ending. Even if one of them is killed horribly, he'll come back as a ghost and there…
No, it isn't. Off of the top off my head there is HIStory 3 MODC, Kissable Lips, and Eternal Yesterday, and two of three of those were in 2022.
I am not saying this one won't have a happy ending, and I'd agree that BL in general does not have unhappy endings - much like most of the romance genre tends to skew happyish at least. But saying that it never happens is demonstrably untrue.
Every week on Friday. They skipped last week but Viki aired their ep anyway (now it's unviewable), probably on accident. IDK what is up with the "episode 4 of 8 airing on Jan 12th" going on here though - maybe a nod to Viki's screw up? Since technically the third ep aired for lot of people already. Episode 4 *will* air on the 12th, after all.
Episode 3 is literally perfection as a stand-alone episode. During the entire fight/confession scene my heart…
Episode three is my favorite and is what catapulted this drama straight to my #1 this year. I love everything about it. I've honestly never seen such a perfect episode (or such a glorious confession scene, although the one from Utsukushii Kare comes very close).
didnt the 3rd episode already come out? why does it say january 5?
Viki released the third episode, but they are the only one. It was supposed to take a hiatus and the ep 3 release in Japan (and on gaga) will be this week. Don't know if Viki will keep forging ahead or not.
BL market is burgeoning.. and if there is one thing that hasn't changed since the entertainment industry started…
Oh I don't think it's going anywhere...it's just my impression (which is by no means infallible, ha) that Japan isn't one to put out regular content. That is what I am hoping for.
The chemistry from the last MBS drama was so excellent that I find myself having to constantly force myself to remember that's not generally the norm, and mitigate my expectation accordingly.
That said, this is a fun, breezy sort of watch, which is exactly what I needed out of Japan after the emotional gut punch that was the last drama in this line up. It's early days, but so far I like it better than all but two of the MBS drama shower offerings.
(I also want it to do well. I want them all to have done well, because I'm hoping good numbers means we'll get more regular BL from Japan in the future)
Man, yesterday I was at such a loss. I'm so used to waiting impatiently for new eps of this show it was weird & kinda sad not to be doing that (I know there's a fifth drama and I do intend to watch it, I'm just...not as excited for it as I was for this).
I also kinda wish that Komiya Rio and Inoue Sora had been cast in another drama, because they set a new standard for chemistry for me and I know the possibility of them working together again like this is slim to none.
Another MBS bl will be released tomorrow but I am still can't get over this. I also feel like no any other bls…
Oh, same. I'm worried I'll low key resent the new one for not being this one. I feel like it'll be fluffy but ultimately forgettable like pretty much every other MBS drama has been (MBM aside) and I'm just not ready to move on from this.
It is absolute BS that this series only has an 8.1 rating and a crap show like Ai Long Nhai has a 7.7! EY should…
I have been wondering if people have been rating it low for being sad, or maybe for not being exciting enough (I've seen both complaints here). I guess people who go only by ratings here will give it a miss but personally I only look at ratings after I've already made up my own mind.

The trailer seems to suggest that they date, so a kiss is not outside the realm of possibility here. Messy, messy (I'm here for it).

Do the ratings here even do anything?
