Noble idiocy is a significant part of the FL's character which allows the viewers to be conflicted about her decision and reflects her emotional state. The self sacrifice if anything adds immense depth to her characters so I dont see the point youre trying to make with it. The FL is conflicted about work as she's torn between her dream and reality, she fears dependency in her relationship and feels like a burden to the ML, she seems to be struggling mentally and she has realistic flaws which add to her character. I've had to type this out so many times and thats why I told you to Google it

Why are ppl struggling to accept that the characters have depth to them, even if you dislike them you can't deny that they have some form of complexity

It's bc the main couple got back together but get intertwined with the SFL and SML which can be seen as micro cheating so far. Personally I find the characters interesting and the premise of the show to be something new but if this type of trope is off putting for you I wouldn't recommend watching

Wdym you talked about the plot? You didn't mention the characterisation which is the main focus of a show like this. I cba to keep explaining to ppl why the characters are complex so just Google it

It might not have complex writing but the characters are better written than what most kdramas have. I agree some people think they're superior for liking more 'complex' shows but you can't just deny that the show has characters with greater depth than the typical kdrama.

Its complex compared to a regular kdrama and that's what makes it more intriguing to watch

She's harder to understand bc she has more components to her character. Her work conflict, relationship, emotional turmoil and pressure from other to do better whereas with the ML so far we have only mainly seen the struggles he's having with his relationship and emotions. Even if something is common it doesn't belittle someone's personal experience, it can affect people differently and on a greater scale. Yes the ML's character is realistic but by that standard every character is whether they have a stable job and are content or not. The difference is in storytelling bc a flawed character that shows harsh reality is more engaging for viewers than one that is too content. I can say the same some of you guys love ignoring the complexity of female character

Not once did i mention the ML but you guys love to talk about him. The ML's character is pretty straightforward and thats why everyone is so quick to sympathise with his character yet people won't even try to understand the FL's character bc she's complex and harder to understand. Also why are you mocking and belittling experiences and emotion real people struggle with? It does make a character complex bc it adds depth to their character. Notice how I'm making valid points and you're struggling to make even one.

I was asking bc i dont see why you wouldn't see her as a complex character at least compared to a regular kdrama FL. She wants to continue as a movie director despite continuous failing so she's conflicted in the sense of her dream and reality. She's experiencing emotional conflict within her relationship as she fears that she is becoming too dependent and a burden on the ML. She's also a character with realistic human flaws so I dont see how she's not complex?
