wait remind me again who said that? that's so gross and icky to say, maybe he said it as a joke in a self-flattering promo way since everyone was expected to do an intro like that, but it's making me cringe. i feel bad for the women who didn't see that side of whoever this is. if you mean siwon is the one who said that, i'm extra shook. his vibes have been a little strange to me since this episode, but i didn't think he would be a covert narcissist. true about this being applicable to most if not all men! and honestly, i thought jinwoo was sweet and nice initially, but i doubt his character more and more as i watch his interactions and fixations on jihye...
The only guy I'm interested in watching is Si Won. He is the most handsome (looks like Jinyoung from Got7) and has such a calm and nice personality.
I really shipped him with Jiseung in the start, but I'm sad to see she only grew more interested in him after realizing what she lost (and that other women potentially want him) as well as when Juhan didn't reciprocate her interest in him.
I don't blame her for feeling jealous over Jihye. Her words were not entirely untruthful, either. Jihye really does seem to just be getting to know every single guy and I can understand why she feels annoyed.
Jihye's approach isn't necessarily wrong I guess, it's a short dating show and she wants to get to know everyone. I can understand Jinwoo feeling shocked and upset when she revealed that, too. At the same time, like he acknowledged himself, she can get to know anyone. And she has been pretty upfront about her feelings/behavior, and is generally nice (though I will say I initially judged her based off the strong surgery/filler appearance). I am not a big fan of her but I think she is the right participant for a show like this, where the literal purpose is precisely to get to know everyone.
Jinwoo is making the mistake of focusing too much on one person like Yoonso did. I'm glad Yoonso moved on and is trying other matches now, he seems more free, and also freed the poor girl Ju Hee (he was really coming on way too strong). At the same time I can't fully blame him, sometimes you really only find one person attractive in the show, but it wouldn't hurt to get to know others.
I don't see much chemistry coming from JuHee and Juhan. Juhan seems to get too excited from whatever attention he can get from a girl.
I don't know, I guess I can't say I really blame any participant, even if I agree or disagree with some of their behaviors and feelings.
I can't say I liked everything Jiseung has done so far, but if I was her and Si Won publically declared me as second choice, I'd be so humiliated rather than cling to him more. She kind of had it coming I guess after the QR code, and I know she can send it to whoever, but that part was so hard to watch.
I feel like the chemistry between Si Won and Jiseung is fractured for now. It was very lukewarm even in the beginning during their first date honestly, but I was hoping they would get to know each other more and build it up. She's not entirely wrong for feeling iffy about his career too, even though it's a respectable one.
Now Si Won is interested in Yujin. She is really nice and pretty, but I honestly don't feel chemistry seeing them side by side. Also Jihye is interested in Si Won, but again I found it to be pretty disturbing personally that she only is intrigued because she saw his back muscles.
TLDR this whole show is weird for me now, albeit definitely entertaining enough for me to watch every week. I had high hopes for Siwon and Jiseung, both were my favorite male/female participants and couple, but now I feel odd about both of them. Siwon is not going to get much hate from viewers or anyone, because he technically did nothing wrong and is playing by the rules of the game. But I can't see him in the same light anymore. Just my thoughts.
Edit: and one more thing... I feel like you can tell a lot by how a guy is when you analyze the woman of his choice. Everyone who wanted Jihye shows a lot about their personality and what they value. I'm not hating on her, I can acknowledge that she has a pretty decent personality. But I am really surprised by what most Korean men value.
first of all he is the most decent guy out of everyone there. genuinely kind to everyone and mature even if he is younger. some of the other contestants should take notes.
second of all, gyuri was not giving him the reciprocation he deserved. he put a lot of detail and care and attention towards her, and he just gets crumbs of texts back.
third of all, soyoon i initially was not a big fan of, but the way she handled the wooyeol convo??? BADDIE. so well said and secure in herself.
fourth of all, shes genuinely the realest girl and has self respect to move on and be honest. shes funny and creates a good vibe.
fifth of all, i was shipping her ineractions with seowon. so much chemistry in their playful mocking banter. i did not see this couple at ALL, they came out of nowhere and are the best ones so far in my opinion. they have real tension, chemistry, and fun.
as for the others... WY and YG can be satsified with themselves ig but i understand why its awkward for the rest of the house since they all still do live as a group. i know its "everyones on their own" and "find love not friends" but yeah they should make an effort to do their one on one time maybe outside of the house and be more inclusive when theyre in the house. honestly felt tone deaf and a little showy.
the lawyer and seungmin still chasing after YG is frying me. MJ please stand up idk what you see in seungmin. lawyer is at least nice and funny/chill but like... bro shes 10 years younger.

and honestly, HJ was gorgeous, but it felt so wrong the way she wanted MK's ex while knowing MK wasn't fully over him, all while claiming to be her "closest friend". this feels like a perfect retribution. i hope MK never takes her ex back, no matter how many "memories" she holds of him or whether he comes crying back to her or not.

yes i liked it! i was also confused how it would work with the ML being a monk, but somehow the story made it really nice - i think it's because he's kind and still feels emotions and you can kind of understand his thought process. it's a very subtle romantic tension imo, the build-up is slow and the intimacy makes you blush even though it's not outright stuff. towards the end it does accumulate and get more outright and intimate. idk why but for some reason i lost interest towards the end (probably since the yearning was ending). so if you like slow burn, the romance is definitely there!
The preview sure does look confusing, LOL. But one thing for sure, I can tell BK and HJ are certainly getting…
all i want is for bk and hj to get back together tbh, everyone else's chemistry was really mid. it was so awkward when SY was crying and HJ was just like :| ... lolll
