What an entitled comment. Maybe this drama is not for you but don't say it's bs when you do 't understand it.…
I don't need to formally announce my opinion to say it. Like its actually redundant to state 'In my opinion', like are we in 4th grade?!? You should understand and assume eveyrthing I say is in my own opinion. And aying 'I think this drama is b.s.' or 'In my opinion, this drama is bad and b.s.' is exactly the same. And there's no difference from an opinion and a statement, you have to state your opinion... And as I said, I AM entitled to my opinion even if you don't respect it
Trust me when I say this- its a lot worse in the novel. I think they navigated that fairly well in the series,…
but you just said they changed the ending from the novel so bviosuly they do have room for changes... and I won't say they need to change everything but this show does romanticize SA by literally having a bed scene of the two lovers reinacting SA.... no matter how you spin it, it is
If is not for you then bounce out. Dont trash talk someones hardworkđđ
Why do you think this app was made...to discuss the shows and movies put out and judge and rate them. I'm not sure why everyone is acting as if I'm wrong for stating my opinion and how I feel about the show. bMy review of this show may not be positive, but it doesn't matter, you can't pick and choose how positively or negative I talk about a show. If you can't handle a show you like getting criticism, then YOU should "bounce out"
What an entitled comment. Maybe this drama is not for you but don't say it's bs when you do 't understand it.…
I feel like I shouldn't have to explain this to you but here it goes. I am 100% entitled to how I feel about this show and to amke this comment because:
1. It is my time going into watching this show. I am spending the hours, days, and even the 15 mins wtaching this show so I have every right to judge it and how I am spending my time 2. It is up for judgment and though you amy enjoy this show, my negeative review isn't any less important than your positive one. We are both judging the show, it doesn't matter if I don't see it the same way as you because I'm not you 3. This is a public website made for sharing opinions and discusing media
And it's not about being spoonfed the information, its about this being a production and writing issue and I could alr see it. Even as I watched on, it just became more and more apparent that it's not an artistic choice but poor writing.
Also, I can name about 50 dramas far more beautiful than this but I still don't acre whether YOU think its beautiful, because I was stating MY opinion
Bro are we watching the same show?... Atp i dont think its for you... so drop it and let we who love these horrible…
it's not for me and i did drop the show, I didn't need your approval or permission to do so nor was my dislike for the show a attack on you or others who like it. Stop taking everything so personal
yeah idk about this one, 15 mins into it and I can tell its on some bs. Horrible production w/ scenes that are…
lol I didn't know my comment would make yaw so mad, but I decided to pick the show back up after seeing an edit and got to episode 6 and still decided to drop it. I judge a show based off of production, characters, plotline, story and relationship development, angst, and overall message. This show fails in almost every category.
Production: I was surprised to see how bad it was in terms of aestehtics seeing as these are the same people who brought us Secrets Happened on Litchi Island. It has such an elegant angle with the mountainside and tea farmer trade but just fails to show it in a captivating light like Secrets Happened or even Paradise of Thorns. Like I can obviosuly see they want us to feel that the nature is beautiful and should be protected, but there are no beautiful scenes or shots to support this narrative.
With the editing of the show, there's a lot of scenes that drag on for far too long. And there are weird cutoffs and scene changes that aren't done carefully. There's also inapproiate sound effects thrown in for scenes that just don't make sense with them. But hey, at least we get sound effects because there's close to no bgm. For a show with such long and weird scenes, they can at least have some music to add to the ambience and build the mood but no, the production team just decided to have really awkward scenes.
The direction is another thing that shook me. There is genuinely so many scenes that feel downright lazy. Like the director couldn't be bothered to do another take. And there's just overall too many filler scenes that add nothing to the story.
Characters: Characters are fine but I wished they had tooken the time to properly introduce the characters in ep 1 and who they are instead of just throwing them in the story, especially with the second couple. I still have no idea who Wenshu is to QingLang
Plot: I expected there to be a bit of a country boy city boy kind of vibe going on and because of it, that automatically has a natural enemy to lovers. But no, Qing Lang fits right in and Changyang has no issue being this spoiled actor's servant. There was also no reason why QingLang went to the mountains as it seems his career is just fine and so is his relationship with his fans. Maybe it's because of Yi Shua, but there's never a proper explanation about YiShua and what happened to them. I've just kind of came to my own conclusion there. All of this to say, I'm not sure what the plot is or the angle the story is trying to take.
Relationship Development: Other than production, I take a lot of points off for this as it is done terribly. The main couple have no real development. From the start Changyang is so willing to serve and be QingLang's dog and Qing Lang has no problem using Changyang however way he wants. Does it seriously make sense why he just met the man and he's willing to feed him as if he doesn't have hands, and why does he even want this stranger to feed him. They just got too familial too fast and didn't even develop them from strangers to accuaintances to friends to lovers. I'm not sure if its due to the fact Chnagyang has been a fan of him for a while but they hardly try and connect that and still doesn't explain Qing Lang's actions. I also just despise how on ep 1 and within the first 15mins, there were already "heart fluttering" scenes, like these are strangers... it just felt too forced. The second couple is just outright HORRIBLE. There is no reason for them to like each other and every interaction with them is forced. The second couple just isn't organic at all and actually pmo everytime they come on screen because the writing for them is complete and utter b.s. No introduction to the characters and how they operate, just straight into pushing them together (after the pointless and nonsensical enemies portion).
Overall Message: This show does a poor job of focusing on the simplicity of country life and a love in the mountains. We can see some appreciation for the country ife through Changyang but it's immediatley thrown out by things like a drone (why would this supposedly humble tea farmer have a drone....) and the constant social media and phone usage. And compared to Qing Langa nd YiShua, his relationship with Changyang is much more simple and pure, so I don't understand why they can't just give us more time to explore that juxtaposition. But as I said before, I am unsure about the angle the show is trying to take so I don't get the overall message.
I see why people like the show, I really do. I think Qing Lang and Changyang have that chemistry that makes you wanna keep wtaching, and they even play off of my favorite trope of just being around each other all the tiem for no good reason other than some subconscious peace with the other person. Yet, regardless on how I feel about the couple, this show is very low quality and poorly done.
I think it makes more sense as you learn more about them. I also think they needed more episodes to let the story…
finished the show and I stand by everything I said. It never made sense why he did that on ep 3 and it still doesn't. And overall the enemies to lovers was done poorly and so was their development. But for the most part I still enjoyed the show though the end had loose ties as well
nah she still gotta die for what she did to Jian and woojin on the island
after finishing the show, they def were trying to protect her character but yeah it is hypocritical she took it so personal especially when they were going after him to begin with
not to be weird but I saw some people saying that the photoshoot they did was inappropriate since they Jung ji…
yes, the pictures donât portray a niece and uncle relationship. Like if I didnât already watch the show, it looked like two mains but not in a familial sense. However, I donât think they were sexual or really disturbing, it just didnât feel right and Iâm not sure what the plot photo director was trying to go for
Iâm on ep 3, the kiss was random and they did not play it off well. It just felt like a force way to have some type of skinship but tbh it was stupid and nonsensical. And he kissed him twice while saying he despises him⊠It genuinely makes no sense and the enemies to lovers feels forced. At this point he should have no sexual attraction to him, or if he does it needs to be held at bay cause it doesnât make sense for the point we are at in the story. And it makes no sense how he is righteous and has a high intolerance for murder but any form of assault and abuse is okayâŠ. But I am enjoying the show so far
Not all can watch heavy themes. Not all can think after getting SAed to have a happy ending. Not all can understand…
I think two things can be true at the same time. While I understand why you think I mean realistic, I don't think that is an accurate way to describe the themes that I talk about as no matter how "unrealistic" the shows can be, the themes will always be from real life and topics discussed in literature should reflect themes you see in real life. I don't think there's any theme or topic that can't be found in real life so to me all topics are realistic. However, some of these shows aren't and the way characters go about things aren't. Like The Untamed is the furthest from realistic or realatable for me, however topics like being an outsider/black sheep, found family, forgiveness, jealousy, greed, and genocide are all things themes presented in the show that exist in real life. Yet, I would like to emphasize that in this case, it's not about whether the show went about the heavier topics in a realistic way, it's about whether I think it was an okay choice to display the topic of rape as a minor issue or something that can be overlooked
lol she def didnât make them fall in love with her, and she never gave publicity stunt to methat being said,…
Idk her feelings were valid to me. I feel like she liked Seunghun, he dropped the bag and wrote her off as a friend and then circled back and claimed he had feelings for her. Then with Hyukjoon she liked how he made her nervous and they had a bit of tit for tat. But more than anything I feel like she really wanted it to be Jungyun. Like he was her ideal type, he was kind and handsome and I think she found him to be on her level, however, he really didn't flirt. He didn't know how, all he knew was to honestly share his feelings and that was it. He also didn't take any initiative. So I feel like her dilemna became that she really wanted to committ to Jungyun even though she knew he's not who she wanted but ultimately it stressed her out too much and she felt too seen so she just gave up
Trust me when I say this- its a lot worse in the novel. I think they navigated that fairly well in the series,…
Can you help clear this for me: which part of the show is based off of a novel, the entire show or just the Deep In aspect with Gao Zhuna and Dr Fang?
Either way, I still don't think it makes it okay just because the book was worse, if anything I feel like they should have changed more of it to completely deter from the book because they know how bad and problematic the material is.
And no I did not watch the end credits, I wasn't aware there was more to view
yeah idk about this one, 15 mins into it and I can tell its on some bs. Horrible production w/ scenes that are unnecessary and long, the text messages are done poorly, they're not explaining who Yi Shua is or who these characters are, they didn't even highlight Chang Yang until after everyone left, and there's like forced little moments already that makes no sense in the scene and where the story is right now. I also like longer dramas and eps, but this one seems unnecessary. I feel like as I keep watching, the show is gonna feel like there were people who wanted to share a story and maybe had thoughts for certain scenes, but overall execution wasn't planned out.
Like this first ep is boring and doesn't have enough structure. Even the opening scene was trash and isn't sucking you in. It also fails to show the story conflict and like I said explain characters and their importance to the main character
This was a good show. My favorite part about this show was the second show in it, it made me interested all throughout and was very good.
What I didnt like is the how the show dealt with sexual assault. In the main story, just like Double Helix it felt like they excused the assualt with âoh but look how much he loves you.â Obviously, this wasnt nearly as bad as double helix but I felt like they shouldnt have included it in this series, it was unecessary and the writers didnt know how to deal with it. And in the second show, i dont like how much they romanticized sa, it shouldnt have been used almost as a kink. I also feel like the inclusion of Justin wasnt necessary.
Also, I didnât like how dismissive of everyone Zhen Xin was. Like the way he acted didnt feel cool, it just felt plain dumb and reckless and I get thatâs his character but his character is also supposed to be nonchalant in a way and he just wasnât that. Like they acted like they were the only two people in the world and it made me mad because think of everyone elseâs hard work that are being put into this show and these two are just ruining it b/c of the scandal. But lowkey I do like how they act because the only toxic trope I like is codependencyđ and it was like that in both the main story and the inner show
Am i the only one who didn't like suji? I don't know why the panel members keep on saying she is cool and whatever…
lol she def didnât make them fall in love with her, and she never gave publicity stunt to me
that being said, I didnât like her because I felt like she didnât consider herself an eternal single and understand why sheâs never found anyone. I guess in a way it felt like she thought she was above them and didnât really feel like she had any reason for why sheâs never dated
