a beautiful story grounded in beautiful music
When I heard that this show was based on my two favourite songs by Hikaru Utada I was worried. I thought it would be an extended music video with no substance of its own (as I had seen done previously). However, once I started I couldn't stop. My favourite part was the end, I was moved by the innocence and beauty of both sides of the story. This story is not perfect by any means but honestly, its flaws round off a beautiful love story that crosses generations. Overall, I may have been a little biased against it but I should have trusted that a story based on music so beautiful would be able to stand on its own. I loved it and definitely will rewatch!
