The original plan was to find who he was based on the few clues her mother gave her. 1. He liked spicy food 2. He formed a band for her sake (they both did, in a way) 3. He serenaded her at the festival.

If they go that route they will make the dad deaf anyway (despite his son's desperate attempts during all those episodes) and give us the "it doesn't matter because he had a happy life anyway" crap. It's politically correct lately to say that being deaf is not a disability and it's just as well to be that, "no big deal".

I said that because you asked about both. But yes, there is also some romance, although it's not the focus of the drama at all. I am still on episode 10 and there are three or four people attracted to someone, one of which is one-sided and most probably won't lead anywhere. The nice thing is that those romances are not like an afterthought but they come naturally from within all the rest of the plot.

Still it sounds weird to me, I don't know.

Yes, I think most of us agree that the background music is the weakest point of this drama.

No bromance. Just brotherly love. Nothing "romantic" about the affection between two brothers.

There is, but it's subtle. It develops organically from the situations, it's not a random filler or anything. And handled beautifully.

He developed a mental condition after his father's and brother's accident, because of the trauma of his brother becoming disabled. So he created this imaginary friend who is his brother but healthy and walking normally.

Also at the airport when she left for the US , he and her female classmate came to bid her goodbye.

I sincerely hope it's not true. I'd be severely disappointed. Not so much because he smoked a few times, but because it would show stupidity on his part. I thought he was smarter than that!
When you know fully well the situation in Korea, and you know how much you have to lose, it's really an idiocy to risk ruining a long and beautiful career, have your name dragged in mud and, most importantly, not be able anymore to do what you love and do so well, all for the sake of a few smokes.
So let's cross our fingers and hope that it will soon be revealed that it wasn't him, that it was all a setup, and he was innocent all along.

I just watched ep.3 on Viki. Just now.

Because, the moment one voices a disagreement with the plot, you immediately say something like "If you don't like it, don't watch it". If it were said in real life and not in writing, it would probably have an exasperated or dismissive tone. It took me a bit by surprise.

I was so sad they chopped her hair and made it that ridiculous straight cut. Her mother has long hair and looks fab, why would they make Namsoon just like everyone else? She still has her smile, but otherwise now she's quite uninteresting visually. And not only it's short and straight-cut, but also the back part of the hair is... how to describe this... it is on the air, like swept towards the back and up. So ridiculous, like a cartoon character!

If there was no misunderstanding and communication gap, I think half k-dramas would become a short movie.

Is this copying the concept of Doom At Your Service? With a tormented male lead whose job is to be ruthless and cruel but his tenderness and protectiveness will come out when he falls in love with a human?
We're tired of dramas that want to capitalize on the success of others and have nothing new to offer. Of course the writer Choi Ah Il has shown to be good (I loved Mr. Queen!), so even if she was offered this trite concept by the producers, I hope she gives a fresh twist to the story.
