Pretty decent drama, I would say. The FL Deng En Xi especially did a wonderful job here. She made her presence felt throughout the show. The poisoning scene where she tried to vomit at the beginning was a masterclass in acting. I think CDramas are getting better with good stories and proper execution.

Good point, but I still think things are changing—slowly, maybe. Dramas like Mysterious Lotus Casebook, The Ingenious One, Meet Yourself, A Journey to Love, Blossom and Guardians of the Dafeng are breaking the old mold. Yang Yang is just so popular that, as a big fan, I guess I expected more.
To some extent, it's disappointing. The trio beats up the bad guys only to let them flee—even though those villains murder people. The same villains keep coming back again and again with a new scheme, which really angers me.
