They have definitely improved over the last couple of years. The subtitles feel much more sophisticated than they used to be. It's getting very close in quality to Netflix subtitles. I was starting to look for a blu-ray copy on eBay, but worried about it playing here in the US. Now with this Viki announcement, I can hold off for a bit.

On episode 23 and I am really enjoying it. What a wonderful actor Xu Kai is. He gives such interesting and nuanced performances. This is my second drama watching him in the lead, the first was Best Choice Ever and he was great in that. Looking forward to watching more of his dramas. Which should I watch next?

This mom is killing me. Even for an abusive and controlling person, she is way over the top. There is a lot of my mom in her, but this lady takes it to a whole different level.

Congrats to QOT, but my favorite will always be CLOY. Plot was original and had more heart.

I was a theater major in college and our homework was to see a play and turn in a fair review with examples supporting our observations. While I am not the best reviewer, I can hold my own, and I can definitely spot a great one when I see it. In scene study, we took apart an acting scene and had to be ready to give an answer when our drama teacher called on us. Usually, we had to say what we didn't think worked in the scene and why. Those of us who have studied theater performance understand that it can always be better and we never consider ourselves above constructive critiques. I prefer solid, honest reviews to gushy fangirl rants masquerading as reviews. Had we turned in that type of homework, a failing grade would have followed.

He has a brief cameo in episode 3, so I think they are purposely doing that as a transitional device. At first I did a double take, but then saw his hearing aid and thought it was cool. I took time off between episodes 1 and 2, so I don't know what the transitional moment was for those.
