1. The female detective was useless. She didn't tell anyone about anything. Why was she even in the show? Maybe to fulfill some female quota or something.
2. Where was the police for the majority of the last episode? Didn't they investigate how HKM flee?
This movie is the worst nightmare of a woman living alone. The tension was good. Now for the spoilers. Other than the killer a lot of characters were dumb. 1. The main character could have called the police first while her friend was being "attacked". 2. How come The policeman went all alone after a serial killer without even a partner and no bullets in his gun. 3. The first rule is if you somehow get upperhand over the assailant beat the shit out of them before you try running otherwise they will come after you. 4. She had the axe still she pulled the rug, then tried to run then tried the gun. Woman u had the perfectly good axe. *Facepalm* But what do I know how would I react I have never been attacked by a killer before.

I understand being there for your family but not if they are so ungrateful, not if they treat you like sh*t. No wonder most people have mental health issues.
I watched 3 episodes of this, i just wanted to knock some sense into both the leads. Why be so miserable in your life man? Why keep those people in your life who only want to take advantage of you? It's the first kdrama i dropped.
I have a few points might contain spoilers- 1. Both the male options for Kiki are not that great. 2. Asaba's character is 2-3 yrs older than Shintani, so he's in his late 20's in the story. 3. Shintani kissing her out of the blue is pretty bad. Him showing off his relationship to Asaba even though Kiki was uncomfortable is just cringe. From the very beginning he knew how Kiki felt for Asaba, he didn't even think of giving her time. 4. I didn't like Asaba realising his feelings for Kiki after she started going with Mako, but I guess it's quite common.
After i watched the 1st episode (out of 20) i thought i might have to DNF it, but after the 2nd episode it got interesting n it only went up from there. In every episode the stakes got higher, i really enjoyed this. Some jokes landed some didn't, though i won't forget the poop scene anytime soon, i found it hilarious. I don't like action much but the action choreography in this one is fun to watch. Each character, not only the main characters but also the side characters, have engaging back stories. Song Sac being an ex-royal guard was a pleasant surprise. I found Choel Bum very interesting, he had many layers. I wanted to know more about him. All in all i m glad I didn't give up.
This made me cry. Everytime D.O. cried i cried as well. He is a good actor. Jo Jung Suk made me dislike him at first then made me cry in the end. It was funny as well. Awesome movie.
This drama lit up my heart. It was feel good, people involved were adults, they talked things through. No unnecessary drama at all. I like j-dramas cuz they are based on normal everyday people, it makes them very relatable.
I liked this drama. I do think chemistry between the main characters is missing, I guess for some it's more about comfort than chemistry. Like they are completing what's missing in the other person's life, although, Mie is getting better part of the deal.

About the ending: Seung-Jun wasn't safe anywhere else so he came to North Korea, he would have led the life of a fugitive of he had lived. I think it's kinda a bittersweet ending for Ri Jung Hyuk and Seri. They chose to be with each other for two weeks in a year rather than break up, I think that requires a really strong love.
I have come close to tears a few times while watching dramas but this one made me cry big fat tears not once but multiple times. A mother's pain and love for her daughter (seo-dan's mom and seri's mom), the friendship between the village ladies and ofcourse the love between the couples. I am glad I watched this.
This was a wild ride. I kinda thought Tsubaki would be a tsundere character. But it was full of twists. I hated his mother but she too had a redemption arc, which brought more depth to the story. I enjoyed watching people wearing kimonos and talking in polite Japanese. All the sweets looked amazing, now I want to eat those. All in all a very good drama.
People say japanese movies and TV shows are not good, as they don't have the production value compared to korean shows but a movie or tv show can be great if it has a good story and acting, this is a proof of that. It was fun watch.
