ep19 ---- chen yi is self sacrificing for everyone that he loves, not just miao jing, bc wdym he sold his beloved shop so his best friend could get married? chen yi is the only one dumb enough and kind enough to do smth like that. he gives everything that he has for his people. its admirable honestly bc he never hesitates or looks back.

hm yeah that's fair. i honestly think they made him act like that to show that his character was originally aloof and unattached. as such, he kept pulling up his qr code so that lin wanxing didn't think he actually cared about her. and it was small enough amounts of money that it wasn't a huge deal. + i see that someone added the spadeq explanation as well!

sad and surprised to see so many people dislike the pacing of this show! i love the slow burn and am really enjoying getting to know these characters as real people and not just waiting for them to get together. i adore qian fei and am having so much fun seeing her getting better at her job. lu ze and jingjing are also so wonderful. such a fun show to watch as the days pass by. im so glad i started this when it came out. wang churan and tan jianci also have such easy chemistry i love watching them bicker with each other every day.

ughhh im so sad i genuinely disliked this show so much. so boring. so predictable. lackluster romance. bad plotlines. very disappointed :((

first ep was awesome but the rest of the show doesnt live up to the set up in my opinion

im still confused why his dad kills him in 2022. he went his entire adult life growing up just fine so why would his dad kill him later? also what loophole allows him to live and raise a son? and why does yeon woo kill yoon young's mom in 2021? lots of questions still unanswered. i also felt like the second half of this show became super family drama-esque. perhaps would've been better with 12-14 eps, with some of the family stuff cut down, esp on the ML's end. also what happened to ko min soo after everything? horrible that ko mi sook still had to go home and live with him. finally, i wish we'd gotten to see more of lee sun ae and baek hee seob. they were so freaking cute and im so glad they had a happy ending. overall, i really loved the show up until the reveal of the real murderer. his backstory was super weak. why come back early from america and lie to everyone to kill a bunch of nobodies?

omg were they not allowed the extra 4 eps or something? it was such a good show. it's a shame they wrapped it up so quickly and unsatisfactorily in the last episode :(. the friendship between hdm and pgs was my favorite part of this show for sure. i could've watched an entire show just about the rise and fall of their relationship from college till now.

i have to respect park gyeong se's hatred for hwang dong man 😭😭

i think their character dynamic adds to that kidlike effect with him following her around and doing everything she says lol

super cute show. amazing chemistry between the main trio. all the plotlines felt like they were written by a super old person about super old people but still an enjoyable watch if you're just looking to pass the time!
