big BIG agree on feeling like their chemistry snuffed out a bit (a lot) here in KNOT. I got that vibe pretty early on and it never got any better. I think a part of it is that Boat now plays such a stiff , borderline emotionless character that it feels very off. He def had way more personality in My Stubborn.

Once again, I've gone about skipping BoatOat's scenes because at this point,nI unfortunately don't care for their ship. However, I read that the mom divorced the dad? I love that. Possibly the best part of the episode.

Ive mentioned before that I was mostly excited for JameFolk. Let me tell you, if youre here for them, don't. They baaaaaarely get any screen time. I stupidly hoped for a decent scene after the dumpster fire we got last week, but nope. We're just gonna brush past the Bite As A Shitty Disgusting Punishment, huh?

I saw another comment that mentioned that they didnt address why Phatsa fainted at the end? Which made me lol. Of course they didn't.

I already had low hope for the last episode, but its even lower now. 1 episode left, how in the world are yall wrap this mess up?

This episode was just. So bad.
I feel terribly for BoatOat and JameFolk. They deserved a well written show, especially after how awful their previous shows were.

I havent read the OG story, but if Sangnuea and Naphitch are expected to be together in the end....how. HOW? If what Sangnuea is truly the mastermind, then how are we expected to forgive him and like him after what he did, especially with the poor girl?

In terms of his motives, they do make sense. However, while "omegas are treated like shit in society because of gender and classism" is a very common omegaverse trope, this show hasn't really shown that, in my opinion. We see some struggles for all the secondary genders, yes, but not enough to make his motives make sense.

Disappointed that Folk (Sangnuea's actor) was typecasted.:/ His character was aaaawful in his first show, and while I thought his acting fit the character, I was hoping for something different this time. Same with Boat and Oat.

The acting overall is so mid that Folk and Jame appear to be overacting. Which is a shame because I do think their acting is fine in this show...outside of everyone else.

I honestly skipped a good chunk of the Phatsa and Nakhun scenes this episode, but even with the bits that I saw, I was like "???"

The show just seems like one giant cashgrab: make a show based off of what's gaining traction right now (omegaverse) with one of the most popular acting couples at the moment (Boat and Oat) and expect no one to care about the lackluster writing because hopefully they'll only care about how good the characters look and how rauncy the sex scenes are.

I was excited for this show not necessarily for the plot (though I do love omegaverse stories), but moreso for the acting leads. Specifically BoatOat and JameFolk. I watched My Stubborn and Eye Contact, and while I hated both stories, I enjoyed the chemistry between the actors and was hoping to catch them in something else. And now we have KNOT!

I have yet to read the original story, but the writing for the show is not good. I have a friend who is reading the OG story and has had to explain a few bits to me. The show feels like it's written for those who have read the OG story.

The couple I'm most interested in at this point is Naphitch/Sangnuea, the acting couple I'm mostly watching this for. Though I will say there are a couple of plot points that have currently been revealed that I do find interesting.

femme, openly gay male characters are usually the comic relief ones in these thai bls, so it's been very refreshing watching this where they're finally the main character! loved ep2 a lot!

It seems like Pop's character might have a thing for Nut's character. So maybe a love triangle situation where Pop's character doesn't get with Nut's character. I didn't expect Pop to have a romance, but I definitely wouldn't mind it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode! I've only but recently started following Nut on ig, and it seems like this in this role, he's much more in his element and I LOVE that for him.
I somewhat didn't expect the topic of gender to be pushed so forwardly- but I like it! I'm not all that familiar with gender representation in Thailand, so I'm excited to learn a bit of it through this show, especially since I'm far more familiar with western (specifically American) queer/gender identities. I'm all about how different cultures explore and express identities, so this is neat.

I've noticed that Prince uses she/her pronouns. I love that.

The story is very interesting too. A twist on historical events? Very fun! Can't wait for next week's episode :)

Arguably the best scene in the finale.

Me spending the first 15mins yelling at my screen like "STAB HIM IN THE THROAT?? HELLO??? SHOOT HIM IN THE THROAT- SOMETHING??"

Very disappointed there wasn't more Kenta and Kim moments )): Or honestly more moments with the side couples in general. They needed ooooone last episode, imo. I would've loved to see how Chris and Pete got back together, or how Sonic and North made the long distance relationship work.

The triple take I took when I saw Winner at the wedding?? That was him right??? The behind-the-scenes wedding photos and clips are a lot cuter than what happened in the show itself.

I can't be too mad at Willy for taking his sweet ass time with his sixth sense ability because, well...this is Willy we're talking about lmfao.

WELL....it's over!
All I can say is:

1) I can't WAIT for PingNut's new series! It drops next week, right?
2) I desperately need a BenzGarfield main couple story. ASAP, please?
3) I laughed at The Ending Scene cuz why were certain characters there lmfao
4) Despite everything: better than season 1 for sure.

Oh I do agree with you on that actually! And I think the way Pete treats Kenta does highlight how Kim treats Kenta (better). Like arguably Kim's the only one that treats him as a human first and does try to stop him at times. Hoping for more Kim and Kenta bonding moments 😭

Also I wanna point it out here too just in case:
The part in the previous episode when Chris was going through Pete's office and he found the files, there's a moment where he focuses on a specific one and the camera zooms in on it. IDK about the rest of y'all, but I had to take screenshots and use google translate to figure out why this was so important.
According to the translations, it's a file on Pete from when he was a kid and it specifies that he has mind reading abilities. If the translations are correct, this would imply that Pete isn't just some human lie detector. This would imply that he can tell someone is lying because he can actually read their minds/maybe go through their memories. Which I think is HUGE difference, especially for Chris' character.
Just a little food for thought!

I honestly love Willy's character, and it's probably because his actor is doing SUCH an amazing job. I initially hated the idea of him being involved with Tony somehow, but I did end up loving how he too is a victim of Tony's and how he's in a situation where he could've been one of the good guys, but ended up in an unfortunate spot. Doomed by the narrative, if you will. Of course there's some of the really nasty stuff he's done, like almost rpe Babe and even kissed him in the most recent episode. However, it doesn't diminish how well written his character is so far, imo.

Not gonna lie....I laughed when Winner and Dean, I guess....drove into each other?? And the explosion happened? We don't know if they survived yet, but it made me laugh because Winner is SO funny to me. His actor does such an amazing job playing this pathetic character.

The Sonic-Is-Sus-About-Dean side plot is wonky to me. I don't hate it at all and it makes sense in general and for Sonic's character who was gone for a year, but I'm not crazy about how sloppily inserted these little moments are. For me, the suspicion is the least interesting part of the story. It feels like a failed red herring and if it does turn out that Sonic is right, then it'd fall flat imo.

So far, S2 is waaaay better than S1, I'm glad I decided to keep watching it!

Maybe it's because I really like Pete's and Chris/Way's actor together, but their character ship is my fave and I'm very excited to see more of them. I think they could have a very interesting shared survivor's guilt situation, but with the nuance that Pete's has something to do with a guy that looks exactly like Chris. I haven't read the original story so idk what happens in the end with them, but it has potential to be reaaaal good.

Kim and Kenta is another fave of mine. I know there are people who are complaining about him getting caught so much this episode, but I think there's this lingering self sabotage that he has that could totally explain that. He was made to be a guard dog and guard dogs must so what they can to protect, even if it means putting themselves in harm's way. Plus the area seemed pretty difficult to get out of tbqf lol

I think Pete's....lack of attention(? for a lack of better words) towards Kenta is so interesting because one could argue its the same as Tony's. However, I'd argue there's mutual care and trust between Pete and Kenta and thus maybe not much needs to be said between them. Though I agree, a little more interactions between them would be interesting!

I think the reason he cares so much about Way is possibly partially do to some guilt? Because it seems like in this world, Enigmas are very rare and it seems like the two of them were the only ones under Tony's "care" who had this secondary gender. And iirc, Pete was supposed to be the one hooked up with Babe? But he left, which then unfortunately dumped all of the nonsense onto the only Enigma left- Way. And now with this episode we have the extra layer of "Chris and Way are Tony's sons", and there might be a chance Pete knew this already via his sixth sense...?

Outside of that, I'm also loving Kim and Kenta! Ex-Guard Dog with someone who's super caring just warms my heart! I loved Kim's character a lot in S1, so I'm super glad to see he's still willing to help AND that he's the one paired up with Kenta.

I did the same thing with that file he was looking at and the translations said the name on it was Pete's name. And that he can read minds. So I think the little plot twist here is that rather than simply sensing if someone is telling the truth, he can actually read someone's mind and THAT's how he can tell if they're lying or not. So maybe there's a chance he's seeing more about Chris than Chris realizes. That's how I understood it.
