I am mostly here to watch Kong Hyo Jin at her craft. Curious to see how she makes a mother assassin (2 roles that never really meet in dramaland or in real life for that matter) believable. End of day this is a fantasy thriller and I am just watching to see how she portrays a woman trying to straddle these opposing worlds. It is a tough premise to sell and I can see in any other less talented actress it will totally fall flat. I think she is doing a commendable job so far...But...the drama is not yet over so I am just going along for the ride.

Agreed. Because it's not helmed by super good looking (plastic surgery) leads that is why. I actually appreciate and respect KHJ for being her natural self and let her acting speak for her. I happen to think she is super attractive but know the audience is just so used to super plastic-ky actors in K-drama and C-drama that their sense of beauty is warped. Yes, this is a very interesting drama and well acted. I for one gave it a 10 but sadly not enough to offset the haters.

Can't wait. Missed Mudok so much after Alchemy of Souls. Hope it comes out early 2027.

FL controversy over boasting about family's medical lineage turned out to be pro-Japanese collaboration over human experimentation and human rights violations - similar to someone in Germany ignorantly boasting about their family Nazi roots. Hard to watch anything of hers now without wondering how entitled she is - not to mention ignorant about her family's painful past.

Love the comedy and fights - as usual KHJ carries the show on charisma and acting skills. It's got strong vigilante vibes and honestly much more watchable than Shop for Killers S2 which is just dour and violent and kinda boring.

S2 is turning into a violent hot mess. Somewhere along the line they lost the plot and just went for gratuitous violence. I am just fast forwarding through the episodes now.

Her ex who dies and therefore SML's brother. That is a weird connection now between the 3 of them. I am sure it will surface later in the plot when we unravel what really happened to Ji Hwan.

I also think that is the connective thread here - instead of the we somehow met as children trope - they did an interesting spin here where Gang Uk is kinda Ji Jwan's surrogate - having his heart and probably fated to be with Yeo Ri if you believe the other drama tropes of FL falling for recipients of ex-BF's hearts.

Agreed. They are not going for realism here but playing off drama tropes in very tongue in cheek way. The directors and actors know exactly what they are doing here.

I wished they could play some of the Addams Family tunes because this drama kinda reminds me of that show even though they are not alike. But the lyrics.. they're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, they're altogether ooky.,.really fits LOL.

I agree. He was also quite drunk getting into bed. Assumption here is he got in on the other side of the bed. I think in a king sized bed if one has ear plugs in and is a heavy sleeper and the other is drunk - it could happen. Would it happen in RL - probably not, but this is K drama and this drama is playing off all the K drama tropes - with a wink and a nod.

That elevator drowning scene by ghost would have been absolutely terrifying. Not gonna lie - I would have broken it off immediately as well and got the heck out of Dodge. They did that scene really well - it was over the top but surprisingly believable.

Wow that would be an intriguing plot twist. It is a common trope in K drama where the leads somehow crossed paths as kids. So, it might just true they have some connection we don't know about. First time I heard of a black monkey in the zodiac which is so funny. Esp the monkey hanging off the dashboard.

ML's grandmother seems wealthy/influential from her dressing and aides. His casual demeanor as well to rich/impt people hints at his status - wonder if he will turn out to also be on same social economic status as FL but he chooses not to flaunt his background? Thoughts anyone?

Really fun and tongue in cheek - FL and ML are great actors and play off each other very well. Like that PEB has selected a light-hearted drama role after some previously heavy ones. I enjoy watching her at her craft but I do prefer her more light-hearted dramas.
