sorely disappointed in S2, too much of a carried over, too much love tug of war, and the villains didn't get what they deserved,, the final battle was not convincing for me either. I'm not a fan of the ML actor but his charm carried me through this drama. if not for his character I would not have finished it. I feel Mu Dan's character was lacking in regards to strength. she was able to endure, she was passionate, and she had a lot of other great qualities but something was missing to convince me of her capabilities. some things were given to her too easily while she was made to struggle ridiculously too much unnecessarily.

I'm not usually into investigation dramas - they tend to be either very dry or gimmicky - where the main leads character is flandered. But these characters are well balanced.
are not Yan Li and Yue Ning cousins ? why are they talking about getting married
up until 1980 - cousins could marry - if they were children of a paternal aunt, maternal uncle or aunt. Meaning they were from the woman's side - if they were a child from the males side and he was a blood relative - then marriage was prohibited.
