Kinda average. But not bad, thanks to the excellent casting.
I really want to finish it so I can see their ending, because during midways the female writing is kinda off with the drag writing, but still, because of these actors, it made the series watchable. If the casting weren't this good, I would already have dropped this.
I just can't hate the antagonists lol. They're not just good-looking, but they nailed their role well. 😠Overall, 9/10 for me. The opening/ending songs are too good for me.
One of the things I notice about the recent kdrama I watched, which I gave good feedback on, is that they now add edited effects, and I really like that! They should keep doing that because it's really entertaining.
This one is really funny and comforting. Park Ji Hoon is truly the best ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I force myself to watch this while I wait for Im Ji Yeon's drama to be almost done before starting it. Honestly, it wasn't really bad, as some previous reviewers say, lol. It was hilarious, and the role fits the casting really well because Lee Jung Jae is literally the character here, isn't he? He's an old actor who shine back then, but he's grown older, so he doesn't fit the main lead role anymore unless it's a makjang weekly series. But you see, he was cast in Squid Game and hit the top again. The point is, who cast a middle-aged actor for a rom-com series? No one, right? That's why it fits him here. Im Ji Yeon is just a good, versatile actress, but if she's above 40, the age gap won't be a problem.
The only complaint I have is that we didn't see more of the second main leads because their story is interesting too, as a comeback wife and husband thing.
Binge-watch it, and I love it !!! Kim Mu Yeol fits the character perfectly, and I missed oldman Lee Sung Min already! Glad he's also here, since his last best for me is Reborn Rich
i watch this drama for its most talk about online, however it doesn't completely impress me, yes the chemistry…
Maybe it's just not for you. I honestly really like the female lead love interest' it's like a journey. I say they all got their fair share because we all know she'll end up with the main lead.
One thing you missed, which was already explained in the episodes, is that Ye Xi An and Gu Jin Zhao can't be together. I honestly relate to this because I also dated someone with the same personality as mine, and just like Gu Jin Zhao said, marrying Xi An is like looking in a mirror. That's honestly where the toxic part came in. Knowing that she grew up without friends and built walls because of how people treated her, Xi An was her only friend, and she doesn't want to lose that either.
The "quiet toxic fool" Chen Xuan Qing indeed loves Gu Jin Zhao, and it is a mutual love interest. Gu Jin Zhao thought that when she fell into the water, it was Chen Xuan Qing who saved her, which is why she fell immediately. An unexpected life twist occurs with his background, where Chen Yan Yun tells him to marry into a family that can protect his secret. He immediately accepts it because Chen Yan Yun is also the one he looks up to. And Chen Yan Yun is not even aware that Chen Xuan Qing and Gu Jin Zhao have a love interest because, at that time, he is focused and busy with the land purchase. How Chen Xuan Qing turns out in the end is honestly the right thing to happen because, from his POV, his uncle stole Gu Jin Zhao from him, which is why he was being insane.
The Main Antagonist has already been active since the beginning. He was the Senior Grand Secretary, while Chen Yan Yun is the new Grand Secretary. His manipulation of the throne's power and abuse of his position, including executing anyone who opposes him, should always result in his own punishment. It's just it took him 40episodes.
I finally finished watching it!!! I LOVE IT, AND I HATE IT.
I love the story. I love the casting. Everything looks perfect to me until the last motherfxxking episode 40? Like WHAT A TRASH ENDING??? and I don't blame the writer, I blame whoever cut the episodes because I already saw it happening as the episode list changed three times!!!
I personally watch this because of Winwin! And honestly, I'm glad that his part is well written. I love how the writer didn't trash their character story about what kind of person he was, and how he would become. I'm so thankful that they gave him that kind of writing. I like it.
Also, unexpectedly, I didn't realize I would love the entire casting from the main couple to the female lead love interest, even their servant, family, and friends. It's just that it was ruined by the inconsistent ending.
I'll give it 8.5/10 because I'm going to be biased with the casting and acting.
Too lazy to make one.. >3< I'll just hope someone makes a profile of him. I search and remember him from last year with a minor role. And his appearance kinda change (or maybe because of the costume) so no wonder I find him look familiar.
So he's not really in the casting list here? Is he new? I don't see his profile name. I just thought I had already seen him somewhere. Anyways THANK YOUUUU
