Yes it started going downhill for me at the LinAn massacre. It went on way too long to make the audience pity the villagers and hate SYQ. I didnt need to see how each single person died.
I held on with a lot of fast forwarding from epi18-40 to know what happened 17 years ago. Gave it a 7 too because i liked the front.

I came in as a casual ZLH fan. The first 10 episodes were very well done and I actually like TXW for the first time. She did a pretty good job here defying a stereotypical sweet face fl and I will probably go look for more of her shows.
However in terms of acting, the Sui brothers had way more impact. I heard of DK but LMR was unknown to me before POJ.
DK was very good delivering the confusion and anger when QM was rejected by QQ time and again. I can see why his popularity exploded after this show. I felt his acting was best in the few main characters while KXE was only ok for me.
Although i do not support their toxic relationship, i sometimes had great pity for QM and wished QQ requited his feelings a bit. Overall their cp was more memorable and intense because QM was a psycho.😅🤣
Its also fun to see the contrast in their bts cos DK seems so sweet to KXE and I guess thats why some of their videos went viral.
The main CP however didnt have much of this 拉扯push/pull (which gives good drama in a show) because their relationship was established earlier on. But I agree the focus should still be more on them.
