I think we just see it differently. Calling the characters one-dimensional feels a bit reductive, especially considering how much of their depth is tied to the past-life storyline and how it gradually connects to the present. I do see that they could've done a better work showing that, but still I enjoyed the drama. Plus, I strongly disagree about the acting. Pyo Ye Jin’s performance in the past-life storyline was actually pretty solid.Han Rita is a character driven by trauma, loss, and revenge, and she portrayed those emotional layers convincingly. Kim also did a great job. I can agree that the present timeline could have been written better, but that doesn’t invalidate the entire drama. it’s heartbreaking, uncomfortable, and at the same time, somehow full of warmth. the story is very heavy, but it focuses so much on love, healing, and family support. the acting is incredible — especially the parents. you can feel every bit of their pain, but also their strength trying to protect and rebuild their daughter’s world. it’s not an easy watch at all, but it’s beautiful in a very human way. cried a lot. like… a lot.
