I feel like that was her pep-talking herself into fighting harder to survive because it's winter, she's wearing a heavy winter coat which must've been pulling her down, that water was freezing ice cold, her body was probably going into shock....but I get what you're saying because makjang monologues are so dramatic they're funny : )
I like the synopsis submitted, but if anyone wants a little more depth, here's another one: Shen Xing Yu is the president in charge of a scientific research company who's fiancé bails on her on their wedding day. In order to continue heading the company she loves she has to get married, or the family company will go to someone else, hence her desperate need for a groom right about now. Enter Zhao Wu Di, a seemingly normal security guard at the company whom she convinces to be her replacement groom. While the original agreement was that they are to be no more than roommates and only act like a couple in public, when Shen Xing Yu's investigation into a potential mole in the company puts her in danger, Zhao Wu Di's protective instincts kick in, and the lines they originally drew start to blur.
