A phenomenon…
This score might seem a little unfair but this season is predictable and doesn’t have a good ending. What I can praise is the visuals and the characters. They are perfectly executed that it’s no wonder it became such a phenomenon. You’ll fall in love with a character but their future isn’t promised. The start was so so so so so good and a commentary on capitalism but it looses steam pretty quickly. Was this review helpful to you?

Misogynistic and dated even for 2015
A drama where the female lead doesn’t have control over her own life. Forcing her to do what he wants, she has no say in her life and is unhappy living in the city. Why can’t she make he own choices, want things… When she wants something he wants her to give up more of her life and friends. A contract and constantly degrading her. He’s toxic but he could’ve been so much more… whatever. She gets sidelined for the male lead, he’s the main character. It barely has cute moments or romantic scenes but the comedy hooked me a bit.Was this review helpful to you?
Less compelling and more questions
After the amazing cliffhanger of season 1 I was hoping this season would give me answers. But instead it left me with more questions. This season also feels wayyyy less tense and the vibes are completely different. Focuses too much on the live streamers which I didn’t like in season 1, so of course I hate that they have an expanded role here. Not terrible just a little disappointing.

Definition of a Japanese BL
I love misunderstandings, I love faking a relationship, I love characters that are hiding something and the premise is actually pretty good with him being unlucky and the love interest being lucky. It’s silly and crazy enough to work perfectly with a style I enjoy and find funny.Although, it’s quite derivative at some points, like heartbeat, they like the same manga and slow mo runs I’ve all seen before, these cliches are tired… enough. The title has kiss so you’d think they’d kiss more than once… well no…. it’s also short which just makes me want more (bls rarely get season 2s).

Wattpad but WAY better
Mafia and photographer, I WAS SAT. This show is actually very beautiful like I was amazed at times and usually focus on the story. The episodes actually have titles which I’m thankful for since most bls don’t. I also love that the mafia part is so over exaggerated and Peach clocks him. I also love a clue less main character. But Aran and Tawan oh hell no get em banned I don’t like them one bit and the other couple is underdeveloped, seems like a trend with side couples in Thai shows. Was this review helpful to you?

What is this?
Jeongu comes back from working and sees two handsome strangers bothering him. They claim to be Choco and Milk, his dog and cat. Let me say that again his DOG and CAT and this is a bl….The worst part is that they act like pets and they use flashbacks to remind you every 2 seconds. Even if you look past that the emotional moments feel forced with no build up or reasoning. It doesn’t feel earned and it’s so disappointing. My first sad ending… and who cares they could’ve all lived happier but the writers just wanted it to have a sad ending.
People said they cried to this… I feel like I’m loosing my mind! They’re animals. And there’s a sex scene….. Is there really anything else to say?

Good despite the romance
The journalism part of this show is what really kept me coming for more. It makes up for an otherwise alright romance. They try to do enemies to lovers, office romance and the dreaded miscommunication trope but it falls a little flat and feels rushed. Why? Because it’s super short and doesn’t have room for it.Was this review helpful to you?

One of my favourites
It’s (sadly) relatable with him having a crush on what he thinks is a straight man. The cliffhangers, the plot that thickens and thickens and is never boring. AND THERE’S LESBIANS!!! I love rnemies to lovers with lore, and the romeo and juliet-like secret relationship is perfect. Everyone’s chemistry is CRAZY, they kiss and touch each other like an actual couple… I have been blessed by this show wow. Its all I ever wanted and more. The only issues is the annoying amount of sound effects and the constant music. Was this review helpful to you?

Meh
Rating the whole series here. I love the way he dodges attempts and I love the world of bl he’s in. I especially love his brother and his boyfriend, it’s sweet. The main plot is barely a romance and should’ve just stuck to the manga instead of this half baked attempt to make it bl… I despise the rewrite of the kiss but the manga creator character, I don’t like retcons. I also hate the minor gets introduced as the new love interest and the old one gets pushed to the side. So disappointing because I can see the potential. Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful and Well Executed
Hioki joins a new class that has none of his friends, he gets invited by the Elite Four to join their school trip. One of them always seems to be there for Hioki. What I Like
Its a well done feel good series. I love high school bls and this one was amazing. They’re so so cute and it was super realistic at points, especially the dialogue and Hioki’s social anxiety was relatable. The cinematography is also really good, it’s very colourful and the lighting is actually interesting. (not netflix gray)
What I Didn’t Like
It doesn’t bring anything new to the table and it has a lot of clichés, not unique but still very well done. The worst part for me is that Hioki’s friends barely appear in the show and are only used for plot devices. He has a female friend which I wanted more of every single episode but she’s only used for jealousy plotlines.

Tainted
Zongyi, a top student, finds Zerui, a gang member, bleeding on the street and is forced into bringing him into his home. What I Love
On one hand its a sweet story, it has elements of healing, creating your own family and waiting for your soulmate. On the other hand, it’s a tragic story with elements of loss, betrayal, rejection, separation. And it’s all tied up in a mafia trope with action sequences too. The plot twists are amazing and I didn’t see any of them. The side couple also pairs really nicely with the main couple. The rest of the characters are brilliant, especially Zongyi’s family. This show was so addictive it was amazing.
What I Hate
I was confused if Zongyi was in college or not…. then it became clear that he was a high school student, so I assumed he was 18. No, Zongyi is 17 and Zerui is 25, that’s nasty pedophilia. There’s no reason for him not to be 18 and it negatively effects the story. The show also never acknowledges that Zongyi was essentially assaulted.
Nitpick
I wish the series was more developed, especially after the time skip. There’s so many things I wanted them to explore and circle back to.

Overrated
Taejoo, a rich heir, and his live-in bodyguard and only friend Gook, get closer after he sets up Gook with someone. What I Hate
The writing is genuinely awful. It makes no sense, the plot holes are massive. Why does Taejoo need a live-in bodyguard? What is their relationship? Why did the restaurant owner ask sex positions to high schoolers? WHY DO THEY SLEEP IN THE SAME BED???? Okay so apart from my million questions the writing is also lacklustre, it’s super predictable and they don’t feel like real people.
What I Like
The acting is incredible and the leads have so so much chemistry. (wasted chemistry imo)

A masterclass in Season 2s
Hajime and Akafuji, now working on different dramas, have to navigate their relationship. What I Love
I love the comedy, this season it got even better. On top of that the story is way more interesting this season and I love the addition of Akafuji’s director and Haibara that cause a shake up in their relationship. Unlike previous season 2s (i.e. to my star) this show still has arcs for the old characters instead of prioritizing new ones. I especially love that the managers get more screentime and that the fujos came back. This season is so much better in my opinion and I’m in love with it.
Nitpick
I need more, like NOWWWW

You can’t be serious…
My biggest complain about the drama is that it’s too short so I was really excited to see this special and see what they do with these characters. Instead we get such a short runtime that I was so disappointed. I’m hoping that the rest of the manga can be adapted because I really liked this show. Was this review helpful to you?

DONT FORGET IT
Valentine’s day, classic jealousy from Kurosawa and cute moments between him and Adachi, glad we got to see more of them.Rokkaku, I love him so much and the fact that he’s this clueless is so funny.
This special is so important to me, I wish it was in the regular series however so that people don’t accidentally skip it.
