How to buy yourself a good conscience by criticizing what is happening elsewhere could be a subtitle too. Unfortunately, despite an interesting purpose and beautiful images, this documentary is a deception. Especially when you see how nature is treated in South Korea...
Once again. More than 50 millions people live in Korea. Even if one million people had signed this petition, it will still be far from the majority of the population. So stop writing that it's a "country's battle" or that "The Koreans said", etc. Words have a meaning. "Some Koreans" is the write thing to used if you want to write about it. And I personally lived in Korea, so I know what I write. I don't know anybody in my family and friends in Korea that think this controversy is important. They have far bigger problems to deal with. You too are not living in this country, so stop trying lecturing people that maybe not live in Korea but have enough ties with it that they know better than you the situation there. Hell yes I'm in my place when I argue with you who try to say nonsense. But your are obviously not. You can support the people against the drama if you want, but don't write that others don't know anything because they are foreigners or not living in Korea neither that it's a big issue there that involve all the population. That's far from the reality.
Well done for taking this challenge haha. Your analysis is still valid until episode 13 so far. It's actually funny to still see people here trying to demean the drama when it will end next week and then be available everywhere through Disney+ worldwide during February. Especially when a little social media study show that the show is largely positively well received in Korea and worldwide by those who really watch it.
Is it flopping though? I suppose if it was expected to have Sky Castle viewership then sure. But it seems on par…
Exactly. It's a late slot actually, not the main one, and Saturday night is not the best one too. That's why it's always dropping on Saturdays and rising again on Sundays. And also, Disney+ partnership. How well the drama is doing on the platform in Asia and in a few weeks on other countries too (at least in France it will be available in mid-February) ? We don't know that, but I bet JTBC is expected more from that than domestical ratings.
thank you for your comment. I was curious what korean people were thinking about it to be honest and it's good…
I was curious about the real impact in Korea, and that's kind of what my Korean friends told me too, even one who is active in politic for the 더불어민주당 and is watching the drama. The thing, here, on MDL, is that some people think because there is articles over internet about this on Hallyu specialized websites, it's a "hot" issue, when most of people just don't give a s*** about it in Korea.
"The Koreans". Really ? 50 millions Koreans said they don't want it ?! Wouah, I probably must call my Koreans friends to tell them they are not truly Koreans as they enjoy watching it. Same for all the people involved in making this drama. They should probably emigrate...
Can’t wait for his come back, I think he gained some weight or maybe muscles in his face 💪 he was my favorite…
Yes me too, I hope "Bloodhound" will be good. And he sure looks even sharper than before army service. He has really a very unique handsomeness. He impressed me from the beginning and become one of my favourite instantly. Now he has a free road ahead of him to be an amazing actor.
It depends, not everyone would be outraged. It's all about how something is put together; If the topic is handled…
No of course, not everyone, and thankfully. But unfortunately "people" in general don't treat things respectfully or rationally, but rather emotionally so I'm pretty sure this would have create a "controversy" if the woman had the role of the slave. That's not the case and that's good, I look forward to it as I wrote.
I personally look forward to it. But in the same time, that's really annoying how many people are excited about this, but would have been "outraged" if the roles were reversed...
so kdrama directors just love to introduce some good for nothing, irritating character like boon ok!and why the…
This kind of characters are needed for series and movies too. Stories would be boring if it was Bisounours Land all the time. And actors playing these roles get a lot of credits for it. It will be the same for her I believe. It's not easy to play an antagonist.
Sung si kyung (If you're with me) & Jamie miller(Wishes) were being played at the time when they kissed!
^^ That's nice of you, but I didn't found anything yet. In episode 11 it's the one played during the scene where Soo Ho is listening to Young Ro's recorded cassette. Can't wait to see what he recorded himself by the way !
Anybody would give the world to a Jung Hae In smiling. ^^ That last scene of episode 11 made up for all the frustrations of the past episodes. Still a little bit weak regarding the development of the story to me, but the cast is so amazing in their roles that I can't really dislike it. Also, there is definitely Kevin Oh singing a song of the OST. I'm not mistaking, right ? Where is it ?!
That's actually quite a good movie. Of course, not a realistic sageuk. It's a comedy but with a strong story. To watch without taking it too seriously in my opinion. With that in mind, it's well done.
What a beautiful movie. I expected one more kind of cliché romance but it was much better and very good. It was like going back to more simple times too. A comforting time travel and bittersweet romance. I’m glad I watched it only now.
