Worth Watching

I binged watched Mr. Swimmer. Loved the location and premise of the story but how much pain can one guy take? To be honest towards the last several shows, I had the urge to fast forward but I didn't. Also, I was ready to kill Li Bao, a very mean, cunning person and she played it well because I really hated her.

Mike Angelo was great and amazing that he did this in Chinese when he doesn't really speak it fluently. Also liked him singing the song in the movie.

Lan Tian has so much anger but now I realize why. You don't find out all the reason for his behavior (like leaving Cha Cha) until its close to the end. The fun, romantic, and cute scenes with Yong Ze and Cha Cha were really nice and heartwarming to watch.

I'm happy with the ending. If it didn't end that way, I would have been greatly disappointed. Love the interactions of the Coach and Lan Xin, which was very comical and gave you relief from the gloomy, sad parts of the story.

Lan Tian is such a complex person with tremendous internal turmoil. Yong Ze on the other hand comes across arrogant and cocky but is a very caring, sensitive person.

I did wonder why the swimmers looked so white and pasty. Especially since they were at a beach resort and they did train outside. But they did look good in their swim pants!

One complaint is that the subtitles went by pretty fast in some scenes and I had to rewind to catch the whole sentence but overall, the translation seemed pretty accurate but hard to tell since I don't understand Chinese. But since this wasn't a complex plot, it wasn't crucial that the translation was spot on.
