STORY: Lu Bai is chosen as the Holy Fox Son to save and protect the Fox Fairy Tribe. He is injured in the human realm and rescued by a human prince, Xiao Jing Chen, and nursed back to health. A strong friendship (or bromance) develops between the two.

ACTING/CAST: Same cast as the series but I think their acting skills have improved. The stupid evil laugh of the villain is as silly as ever though. haha

MUSIC: OK

REWATCH VALUE: I am a total fan of the actual story of this series and the 2 movies even if the execution of it is wanting. I wish it was BL but China won't have it...yet. I may rewatch this sometime but what actually happened is it made me rewatch the series!

OVERALL: This is the expanded story based on the historical events shown in The Fairy Fox series (ak.a. My Roommate Is a Fairy Fox). This was excellently done. It looked as if they filmed the series and the two movies all at the same time but released them separately, it's so coherent. Anyways, if you like the series, the two movies were good too. I hope for more.

STORY: Confusing, drug-induced nightmare. Either I need to be high or a former meth user to get it; not sure. This isn't the typical guy-saves-other-guy-from-horrible-drug-addition-live-happily-ever-after movie. In this movie, drugs is greater than love.

ACTING/CAST: Well, a lot of anger, hatred, self-loathing, portrayed well.

MUSIC: Um, don't remember.

REWATCH VALUE: Not really.

OVERALL: Parts of it are okay, but it seems like the movie tries to be much bigger than it can be. I say watch it, it's not bad, but not great either.

STORY: A talking mudskipper. Need I say more? No? I will anyways. This story is quite absurd. I did like the idea of a Thai actor in Japan but meeting a high school girl and being able to communicate with her via a mudskipper was just silly. And the story never really gets any less absurd as times goes on.

ACTING/CAST: I really only came to watch Bank Thiti. I watched NHK World's English Dub, since I couldn't find English Sub, and it was...horrific. I don't generally like dubbed stuff overall, but the dubbing was awful. It felt like it was dubbed for an audience comprised of children, or some public service message.

MUSIC: Regular background music, nothing stood out.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah

OVERALL: Maybe I'm overthinking things, but perhaps the intended audience was foreign children who are not familiar with Japan who might want to go there someday when they grow up. BONUS point for shirtless Bank though. +1

STORY: The husband of a wealthy couple goes missing and the hired driver takes the wife on a mission to find the husband. This movie is a thriller. There are a lot of plot twists and turns; it had me guessing the entire show. It did start out a bit slow and some of the pacing was uneven.

ACTING/CAST: Got to see the coach from Project S the Series: SPIKE! make out with another guy. Bonus. Otherwise the cast did a good job even though Imanothai Kawin acts the same in every production he's in...

MUSIC: Overall good atmospheric music, a few cool sounding pieces not subbed, credits was cool.

REWATCH VALUE: If it wasn't a bit on the slow side I totally would watch it again just to see it again after knowing all the plots twists and secrets.

OVERALL: Entertaining, if somewhat slow in parts. There's some guy-on-guy action in this and a bit of nudity. [NSFW]

STORY: I'm not sure why, but in places it was hard to follow, parts were slow and had minimal dialog.

ACTING/CAST: They are competent and I found them attractive.

MUSIC: I liked the theme song but overall this didn't seem to have much of a soundtrack.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah.

OVERALL: Kinda slow and boring but the guys were cute. If you want to know if it had a happy ending or not, read the spoilers below.

STORY: The enduring friendships between four people are threatened by love, a business venture, drugs, and fighting among themselves due to the toxicity of their interpersonal relationships. The ending is kinda sad but not overly so. There's a little bit of BL in this, not enough imho.

ACTING/CAST: They did a fine job. The last scene, the actor was very good and made me tear up a little.

MUSIC: Decent music.

REWATCH VALUE: I probably will because the cinematography for this is odd and can be hard to follow.

OVERALL: I don't know how these people ever stayed friends; their relationships are so toxic. Also scenes jump from one to the next without a good idea of how much time has passed nor any real explanation of what's going on. Probably need to watch it twice to make sense of it all.

Two guys finally move in only to have the sister show up for an extended stay. Misunderstandings abound.

Total run-time: about 70 minutes. This is Part 2 of the Love Place series.

STORY: There's a lot more here as it's a continuation of Part 1 and because it's twice as long. Shouta is an idiot and a bit of a douche still, bumbling around misunderstanding everything and hurting people along the way and his boyfriend and sister are clueless that the time they spend together is hurting Shouta and of course Shouta prolonges the agony because he simply won't speak up. At least there are some touching scenes, especially that first kiss (hot) and the bathtub scene. Well, by the end of the movie, maybe Shouta grew as a person, who knows? They will probably live happily ever after. . . until Shouta's next misunderstanding. Also there is one super hilarious scene but in the back of my mind I can't help but think the actions amount to criminal assault; a joke gone too far. There is a short 10-min after-story that is tacked on. Not sure what the point was, but the two guys are hot and dressed to kill.

ACTING/CAST: The cast is very attractive, and there's very good chemistry between the 3 leads and they performed well.

MUSIC: Uh, there is one song in this that is decent but the rest of it seems like porno quality.

REWATCH: Sure, i'll watch it again with a friend.

TL;DR: Standard BL movie complete with a sulky lead who misunderstands everything while causing as much emotional damage as possible to those who love him.

STORY: It's hard to tell what is real and what isn't in this movie. It's a very slow-moving psychological thriller I suppose, or it's trying to be anyways.

ACTING/CAST: Frankly, I only came to watch Gun (Poonsawas Atthaphan). So jealous of the actors who get to make out with him on camera.

MUSIC: Meh.

REWATCH VALUE: Nah.

OVERALL: The BL moments are nice but they can't carry the slow, plodding, and confusing script.

Amnesiac looking for a lost love

STORY: An accident caused Mu Ran to forget Su Chen, so he goes on a journey of self-discovery and to search for Su Chen, piecing together fragments of memories from old photos on his phone, meeting people who knew Su Chen, and each stop along the way, learning more about who he was and is, as well as about Su Chen.

The story is quite uneven. Much of it is told in random flashbacks through the fog of Mu Ran's memory. Through some acts of sheer and unbelievable luck, he meets these random people who just happened to know Su Chen. While the Country says China, bet it was actually Taiwanese as it was filmed in Taiwan, along with the many Pride references in the movie props, and gay and lesbian couples shown along the way.

ACTING/CAST: Well, they did a fine job though nothing really stood out.

MUSIC: Untranslated but seemed OK.

REWATCH VALUE: There's not enough here to want me to see it again. They showed the relationship, by bits and pieces along the way, but the presentation was just lacking. And once you know the ending, there is nothing left of the mystery.

OVERALL: An uneven story where the writer/director was not afraid to show many other happy gay and lesbian people and couples as side characters, but when it came to the main couple, it could have been so much more. The views of Taiwan were very nice. IF you want to know if it had a happy or sad ending, read my spoiler in the comments section.

A guy who loathes himself and has a serious self-image problem fights inner demons while he is befriended by a new classmate. This is short, slow, sometimes bizarre, confusing, and so forth. I might watch it again if I found good English subtitles. Guess what? SPOILER: It rains like the whole movie almost. Bet you didn't see that coming with a title like this, huh?

A man reminisces about a high school friend and their close relationship. As a kid, he was shy but another boy in his class chose to go all-out to befriend him. This is short; not a lot of story in 30 minutes. A quick watch if you got nothing else to watch. The ending isn't happy or sad, just ends.

STORY: Details above describe it well but I will add that the story is sweet and real. Hang Hang (HH) can't help but fall in love with Liang Ze (LZ) but LZ isn't able to fully comprehend what this means because he's straight. There are a lot of great moments in this series and LZ is irresistible; if only he truly understood what he does to HH. Some say this has a sad ending but I don't believe it was. It was a somber cliffhanger but it was real: nobody died, it wasn't a tragedy, but I hope season 2 happens cause this story ain't over yet folks!

Total run-time: 3h 17m over 10 episodes, about 20m each. But like the trend in these dramas, the opening and closing credit eat up 3.5 minutes each; so binge on.

ACTING/CAST: Amazing chemistry. Actor Luo Yi Hang (Liang Ze) is amazingly cute and he plays his part well, so well that I couldn't keep my eyes off him every scene he was in. The rest of the cast were also very attractive.

MUSIC: Good for a short web series. In fact, in the extra episodes, which you must watch, it is revealed that a popular Chinese musician (via a cameo) actually sings the theme song. Way cool!

REWATCH VALUE: Yes, I want more LZ in my life.

OVERALL: A nice, warm show that's not complicated but does have some funny moments and some very serious ones. I think the pacing is a little slow in parts but overall a good show.

MISC: Watch the end credits at least once...wow. Don't forget to watch the special too. Google Yandaixiejie Additional Chapters. There's a part 1 and part 2 on YouTube, each 10 minutes long.

Like most, I watched this after I saw the movie, so there will be some comparisons...

Total run-time for Season 1: approx. 8.5 hours over 12 episodes.

STORY: The drama in this series is very heavy. It is not as "cute" as the movie was. I would have scored it higher except that I felt the drama was too heavy. There are very, very few scenes of levity. It's one tragedy, or misunderstanding, or harrowing experience after another. While these make great drama, there are way too many scenes about extremely difficult situations; it's a wonder these kids don't need therapy. On the positive side, unlike the movie, this season ended with a SUPER sappy and sweet ending; OMG it was so worth it! I hope there is a second season.

ACTING/CAST: It took me a minute to figure out where I knew Bank from (actor: Chaiya Jirapirom) but I realized he played in Part Time The Series. I was so glad to see him again cause he really stole the scenes in Part Time. In fact, others also played in Part Time and Love Sick, so you will see some familiar faces.

MUSIC: It was good, a mix of a bunch of stuff, but they sure overplayed that piano melody every time something sad was going on, and that was almost constantly. I can almost hear the tune in my head now.

REWATCH VALUE: I'll probably watch it again with a friend. If I could recommend, don't watch it alone.

OVERALL: It's a long story full of hardship, and a lot more happened than in the movie (considering it's 8.5 hours of content versus the movie's 2 hours). I think the movie's Bank and Golf were much more cute but the series' Bank and Golf were more mature; especially Bank.

TL;DR: A worthy adaptation of the movie with a HAPPY ending this time!

STORY: An art student misreads cues from the teacher and believes that the teacher is interested in him, all the while he questions his sexuality and his ongoing relationship with a female classmate. Nothing really stood out here in this short, unrequited love story.

ACTING/CAST: This really had a bare, bland story that left little for the actors to actually do. Not really any emotions to express.

MUSIC: I liked the credits.

REWATCH VALUE: Not enough here to give it a second go.

OVERALL: Completely forgettable and a bit boring. Only a couple events happened, like the coming out scene, but they are treated rather indifferently, or at least I felt indifferent about it.
