I just saw the scene and I dont completly agree. When I read this I was wondering why she would reject him after conefessing, even if it was under the effect of drugs. But it's important to notice that it was an aphrodisiac. So I dont see it as a confession, just as the effects of the aphorisiac

- This show, unlike most romances, is sweet already from episode 1, and it gets better with every episode
- They meet randomly in Cuba, and when they are back in Korea it turns out FL is the CEO of the hotel ML just starts working
- ML likes her from the start, and she is clearly interested too.
- Thanks to the help of some secondary characters who want to help her, they keep randomly meeting and slowly, he melts her cold shell (she is not rude or anything, and treats him nice from the start)
- They take small steps, from just having met in Cuba, to friends to more than friends and....
- In episode 6 they get together.
- They face quite some problemsm from third parties that want to separate them, but are always flawless to eachother. Until episode 13 their love is also unwavering and its a pleasure to watch how the problems melt against it.
- Their dynamic is the best. He is very joyful and wants to move forward, and its cool how while she is calm and takes things slower, she is not shy at all and moves forward with him without the typical Noona show bullshit. Not a single time does the age gap appear as a problem for example.
- So, after 13 amazing episodes, the bad part begins. Who causes it? FLs mother who treats her like shit? FLs ex mother in law who treats her like shit? Both have been trying to make them break up for 13 episodes. So, who manages to make them break up? Well none, it's MLs loving mother, who I wanted to finally meet FL so she would finally receive some warmth from a mother.... well nope. This fikin ass, manages in 1 minute what the other 2 powerful women didnt manage in 13 episodes. She goes against her son, her husband, and everybody in their circle who knows how amazing they are togeather, and talks to FL to beg her to break up with her son. And she, after having endured so much bullshit without bating an eye, does so.
- In episode 14 they still havent broken up, but you already know its going to happen so its pretty shitty already.
- Episode 15 they are apart, and episode 16 until the last 15 minutes they are apart.
- The last 15 minutes we get the happy ending.

Let me tell you one thing tho. I hate breakups, I hate short happy endings, if I would read this I may not watch the show.... and even with this, I rated this show 9.5. So imagine how good it is to have 3 episodes I hate and still get a 9.5

Just finished rewatching it.

First time I saw it, I loved episodes 1-13 and hated 14-16.
Second time, I loved 1-13 even more, and hated 14-16 even more. Not because those episodes are the worst there could be, but because they make an 11/10 show worse.

You know how rare it is to feel myself smiling like an idiot from episode 1-13? Almost no drama manages that. This show is so friking beautiful. I heard myself whispering "beautiful" many times.

One of the best romance dramas I have watched, and Ive seen 150 now.

Starting a rewatch of this marvelous drama! I enjoyed it so much a year ago.
Ill skip episodes 14 and 15 tho, what a pitty. This show would be a 10/10 without that crap

- Leads like eachother and act sweet to eatchother since very early, cant remember but maybe episode 2 or 3.
- They start acting like a real couple around episode 11 (just acting like one, not yet a real couple)
- They get together in 19 but in secret
- They publicly get together in 29 (at least among friends, elders dont know yet)

During the entire show they are flawless to eachother. Theres one moment at episode 27 or 28 where FL thinks he has done something to her father and "leaves him", but it takes about half an episode to realize it isnt true and getting fixed.

sML is interested in FL and trying to cause trouble, but leads are so great together since so early that it isnt annoying. Also because ML is so good at everything, he just always beats sML

Leads are great to eachother since very early, and their romance is sweet and lighthearted during the entire show.
Several characters try to cause trouble, but never really manage to cause big problems for the leads, since they are so good to eachother and ML is also good at everything

This show doesnt have the typical politics or succesion topic of other period dramas which I find so boring. It's centered around 3 things, the leads romance, the academy where they study and around a few bad guys that did something bad in the past (and keep doing it).

I enjoyed it but Ill also say that its nothing to write home about. It's alright, but better than most period dramas if you dont like those typical boring politics and court topics.

There is no breakup. During a small time, she is sad because he doesnt want to tell her something about the past and she sleeps a few days with a friend instead of with him. But she specifically tells him "this is no breakup, just a quarrel"

Both leads love the other one like crazy, so dont worry, once they get together they are amazing. When she leaves those days its just a way of making preassure for him to tell her that secret, but it is not angsty at all

Both are amazing once they get together But both are a bit bad until they get together, and it takes quite some time.

In both it was for a ridiculous reason

I think the worst part is not hurting him. In many dramas they hurt eachother... but for more important reason. Here it was absolutly ridiculous.

I like the show and I agree with this.

- Leads dated in highschool. (we see this through flashbacks teh first episodes)
- Her parents are crazy rich, her mother is megacontrolling of her and her brother. So when she finds out, she makes her break up with him, threatening her with cutting ties with her family if she doesnt do so.
- Also, she is adopted, and besides controlling her a lot, the mother also cared for her many times, so she also loves her mother and doesnt want to lose her. So she breaks up with him and is sent abroad.
- During the next 10 years, ML tries to become somebody important to deserve her, but her mother sabotages that 2 times. FL doesnt know about this
- Show starts and FL is back. They meet by chance, and FL starts trying to talk to him, but he avoids her. At some point, she even asks him to get back together.
- We see several episodes with this dynamic, and slowly, ML starts being more open to her again.
- At some point they are flirting again. She tells her mother and tries to convince her, but she again threatens her to cut ties with her if she gets together with him. So each time they are about to get together, she hesitates
- FL gets drunk, runs to ML and explains how much she loves him, and how she is fighting to be able to be with him. She explains she is trying to become an important surgeon to not depend on her family and be able to be with him. But she also tells him she is disappointed that she doesnt see him do any effort (she doesnt know everything he did for her during those 10 years)
- Next day he goes to her house and asks her to be together, but again she hesitates.
- They continue severtal episodes like this, flirting, but not getting officailly together
- There is an earthquake and both go with the relief team (Ive seen this in so many shows now :P)
- There, they meet several times and their romance escalates quickly. At the end, they agree to meet when they are back, and both them and us viewers know it is to finally get together.
- And indeed it is. In episode 25 they get together. And it is not like many asian shows where they are shy about it, they get together like fire. That same night they sleep together and from this point on, in one house or another they stay together. They also dont try to hide it from anybody
- After a few weeks dating in her house, she goes see her mother and tells her she is with him. Her mother is mad and doesnt want to know anything about her, but FL cries, and tells her that even if she doesnt want to see her, she is going to visit every week. FL loves ML since the start, but that doesnt mean cutting ties with your mother is fine, even if she is being a bitch about this topic. Some comments criticize FLs behaviour, but I think she was amazing.
- Since she went against her mothers will, FL renounces to everything paid by her inlcuding the house, so she goes live with ML , his uncles and his cousin. I love this part of the show
- Some more episodes pass, some happy ones, a few disaster (fireworks and hospital) ones.
- After those disaster episodes, FL gets angry because ML is keeping some secrets from
her. It isnt a big problem, she goes spend a few nights with a colleague but tells him "we are not breaking up, its just a quarrel" :P
- ML wont tell her those secrets because its what happened while they were appart, how her mother sabotaged his promotions 2 times
- FL coaxes MLs sister to tell her the secret and is devastated when she foinds out. She cries about what ML had to endure, runs home, and tells her mother to fuck herself. Well, not literaly :P
- She runs back to ML, hugs him and says she is so sorry.
- FL told her mother she would cut ties with her, but FLs family starts having some trouble so she keeps having contact.
- When the problems are solved, FLs father comes around and goes visit leads and his uncles. He gives them his blessing.
- Leads start to plan the wedding.
- Disaster happens and ML rescues FLs mother. She tells other survivors he is her daughters boyfriend, aknowledging him for the first time
- FL eats dinner with her family and they all give her their blessing
- ML had been preparing a lovely house for them, they move there
- We see a few of other couples forming before the end.
- Very happy ending

Their relationship was very mature, both in how they treated eachother and also physically (unlike in many asian shows) They are grown ups and sleep together from the start, and arent ashamed of kissing or holdingt hands in public.

While there were a few forced blind dates, and other pèople who liked the leads, you cant say there was any love triangle. Both leads loved the other one so much from the start that not only did they have 0 interest in anybody else, but they also werent afraid to tell anybody about it

Just finished it. Amazing. The current rating is absolutly underrated. This is totally up to other shows that have over 9 on this site.

The leads carry this show like a boss. Both are amazing. They show their love for the other one from episode 1 to 40, constantly, it's amazing. Once they get together, their relationship is so mature, sweet, caring and they continuosly keep showing their 100% love for the other one.

Yes, they (mostly FL) have a problem that prevents them from getting together, but without that we woudlt have show. Anybody criticizing FL is out of their mind. Yes, she hesitates for a long time to be together... well because she has a fraking big problem about it and she is fighting to solve it. In other shows, while this happens, she would be cold towards him, in a typical noble idiocy way. In this show on the other hand, she never stops showing how she loves him every frikin episode. She just wants to do it right, regarding her problem. And yes, she likes him so much that theres a few times where she seems she wants to start dating and then hesitates. But during all that she is SO loving towards him, and suffering herself so much from her "problem", that it really is not her fault. She is also a victim.

If you want to watch 2 beautiful (omg, really) leads, having a beautiful and mature romance, watch this show. It will take them quite some time to get officially together, but like I said, you will feel their love since the very start.
