The fact that so many people find this stalkerish behaviour "cute" is problematic in itself. The obsession the MC has is very concerning and he should be locked up at a mental facility for the things he does and has 'in his room'.

This obsessively borderlines on serious mental health issues and it should not be normalised under any circumstances. There is nothing cute or adorable about a guy being so obsessed with someone he hasn't talked to to begin with. Each character is dumber than the other and the dumbest and creepiest of all is the lead.
