Great production but had to drop it because the chemistry wasn't my style and just feels so awkward that the romance stopped making senses to me after he betrayed her.
Was it a mind-blowing thriller? Not for me but it was still such a fun and exciting show. Although some parts were predictable, the comedy and the warm family/friendship dynamics made up for it.
My mind keeps coming back to this show recently it was just so enjoyable!! No historical cdrama released this year so far has been able to beat this one for me.
Genuinely really enjoyed this show and then I was surprised to come here and read how many people didn't like it. If you're not a fan of the shamanism aspect I see how this may not be their fav but I LOVE when shamanism aspects and themes so I found this not only interesting but also fascinating. I don't usually watch horror shows or movies since I can't take seriously typical horror themes but medium or shamanism is something that I'm afraid of so my heart was beating so fast through the entire show.
I'm guessing that while some may not enjoy this show due to the shamanisms aspects, others who do enjoy these themes should probably give it a shot. I also thought the pacing and writing were great especially for an 8eps show.
While I get the comments about 'why didn't anyone wish for the curse to end' because logically that's what you'd do in real life, making a wish like that would kill the whole premise of the show and we'd be left with a 2 episode show. While i think it's fine to be annoyed or angry with characters decisions in media, i can't expect characters actions and personalities to always be written with my expectations. What I can do as a viewer is select what media i choose to engage or not engage with instead. I also viewed the characters wanting to make wishes to save the others as a way to show how they were willing the sacrifice their life for each other. That's also what i would expect a desperate person to do when they're in a desperate situation.
The first time I watched it a few years ago I have it a 9.5 but after rewatching I enjoyed it even more than I remembered. To me every second was enjoyable although I found the eldest sister quite infuriating.
since they introduced him as 'third uncle' in the beginning of the show, people have loved calling him that. and it's also because of the age gap between the leads.
This is exactly what i find so interesting and fun about park hae youngs characters, they're novel and dynamic without feeling too cliche so it makes you wonder how will the relationship between the leads turn out? for this one and even with my liberation notes i loved that the love between the leads felt like it was theirs and theirs only to know about or understand. these are my favourite type of dynamics that type that makes other characters go 'why her? why him? what do you see in them?' but it doesn't matter what others assume because they've found a safe haven with each other.

while i understand having your husband die before your child was even born was an incredibly difficult thing to go through, having your child be raised by the person who killed his father instead of her brother who had grown up and taken care of her, is not something i will understand. one moment she was ready to sue or harm cha si young, but as soon as her deadbeat father waved a little money infront of her she gave in and accused tae joo of being jealous and stopping her from living a lavish lifestyle. she made her choice back then so she has no right to be upset about it 30 years later when it comes back to bite her.

the ending kinda gave me the feeling i had when my dearest part 1 was ending. I know there probably won't be a sequel but thats okay i enjoyed the show so much that i have no regrets!
wondered why season 2 felt a little different to the first until i jsut saw that it's becuase they had different screenwriters and directors. i'll probably still watch season 3 though since it looks really fun.
I cant bring myself to watch past ep31 i dont want it to end! It was a slow burn waiting for the Main couple to get together so how can I say goodbye to them so soon :(
