I mean I've rated a lot of dramas super high just because, even though I had a lot to complain about, I still had a great time. I think every score is valid since it's such a personal experience

Totally, they're neutral to the point of feeling soulless. Bring back real scripts!!!! 😭😭

I KNOOW, before I started watching I actually waited for it to air for a bit because I'm super impatient, and before starting I saw a post on twitter about the Queen's feelings for Ian so I kind of went into the show looking for clues and waiting for the moment it got revealed...now imagine my surprise when the most information we got was a 5 second flashback to high school. Such lazy writing. Honestly if they filled those stares and pretty shots with more lines, the show would have had much more substance to stand on.

I actually do agree that there were a lot of unnecessary scenes, but my main issue remains. There were a lot of other scenes that could have used that screentime to increase the impact of certain plot points. The more I think on it the more I'm convinced this is a directing and editing issue. Because like you said, there were truly a lot of filler moments but in all honesty a story this rich shouldn't have wasted those moments. There were so many nicely shot scenes that served zero purpose other than it being capture worthy. While I LOVE gorgeous cinematography, with this project I feel like that took the front seat rather than the storyline itself. Honestly I just think it was such a shame because I'm almost certain that with different editing and a few more lines here and there this would have easily been a phenomenal drama.

I completely agree, and that’s what I mentioned in my review too. Everything just felt lukewarm, like the drama…
I know, absolutely. The drama had everything going for it to be a genuinely wonderful show and yet, it was just so mid. I was so excited for this and it's truly sad to see it's potential being wasted like this. It's like the showrunners were too afraid to explore anything to it's fullest, so they opted for this neutral approach that served literally no purpose.

Your critique is well stated - I do believe some (not all) of your points can be explained by the short, 12 episode…
Yeah I do think that there were a lot left that could have been explored better with more time, so many plot points were just brushed off very fast because of this. I personally don't understand the current 12 episode trend tbh...It can be good for shows that don't have many variables but for Perfect Crown, there are so many angles to be explored. A 12 episode run is pretty short for a project like this.

🥹🥹 thank you...i already miss them so much
yes and just how honest it all felt, i loved how it didn't shy away from the realities of dating in a time where kdramas really sugarcoat everything. It has such a special place in my heart for making me feel that these people could be real

Me too, am afraid that they might ruin her badass character. I feel she is the right amount of soft and strict…
I agree, I think there will definitely be a role switch compared to the relationship, he is a much more emotionally honest person and isn't that afraid of exploring something unknown whereas In-a is absolutely the cynical and careful type. Judging by this weeks episodes it does seem like Gi-jun will be the force that opens her up and she will slowly allow herself to feel the warmth. I'm really excited for Gi-jun to be the lead for the romantic parts because it'll for sure throw In-a off a bit in a good way and it'll be fun to watch her be taken aback by his boldness.

I remember hesitating so much, fearing it wouldn't really suit me and would feel childish because of the animated aspect of it but I'm so happy I was proven wrong and got to experience one of the most honest dramas I've watched in a very very long time 🥲 It feel so bittersweet now that it's officially over

There is much more in this drama than just medical parts. It is great drama.
I also found the relationship dynamic between the leads very toxic, it just wasn't my cup of tea, but happy you enjoyed it <3
